  1. They looked pretty damn good before the break. But you were oh so quiet. Weird. ... So was I, but I had a cool reason.
  2. Getting trounced for #1 was bad enough, but now Soler is trailing for the #2 spot?!? You're all shaved apes.
  3. This is a [expletive] travesty.
  4. http://instagram.com/p/y5EAG_QRLP/?modal=true This one? He's Adam Sandler in Airheads.
  5. Nah. I just let the smilin' do the talking: *Swoon*
  6. Holy [expletive]; way to keep it extra spicy, Bears.
  7. Soler, without a doubt.
  8. After PNC I still love going to Camden Yards.
  9. PNC is [expletive] amazing.
  10. There's nothing wrong with trading prospects while they might still turn out good. In fact, that would be what would make other teams want them. You're aware you are getting something in return, right? Look, everyone knows the right time to trade a prospect is after only the team that has them is able to evaluate them at the higher levels and then can trade the ones who look like busts because other teams aren't allowed to look.
  11. They're so much more fun to watch without Hinrich. Though Mirtotic's stretch of growing pains makes me sad.
  12. Wilbon is a sloppy meatball on the best of days, but his rant over this idea was magnificently terrible.

  14. Baez becoming Hamels is basically the sole reason Baez exists right now. Though maybe he'll be saved if they actually raise the strikezone, so who knows.
  15. http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p228/irish1289/hinske2jpg-f03353c5d3f359ca_large.jpg I always wanted this to be blasted over the PA system when he was running:
  16. Why is Michael Sam still unsigned? http://www.outsports.com/2015/2/8/8000303/michael-sam-nfl-teams-gay-roster
  17. These kids still [expletive] rule; who gives a [expletive] about stupid little league rules.
  18. This theory has been trounced so many times it's not even funny. What's "killed" them in the playoffs under Thibs is Rose being dead. I am curious, where has this been 'trounced'? I think having players that lead the league in minutes is going to lead to substantial wear and tear come playoff time. It's common sense unless I'm completely missing something. You are; the Bulls haven't been hit by those sorts of injuries come playoff time. Thibs' usage didn't break Rose, didn't give Noah plantar fasciitis and didn't make Deng refuse to get surgery on his wrist. Those are the key injuries they suffered in the playoffs, and the latter two were just matters of whether the player could play through the pain or not; no amount of rest or fewer minutes would have fixed them. It's a meatball excuse that's baffling because the real reason they haven't succeeded in the playoffs under Thibs is because their best player has missed some or all of them for three seasons in a row. Why glom on to something so dumb when the main reason is so glaringly obvious?
  19. Yeah, it wasn't a total wash. But I think we'd all be pretty disappointed if all we got out of all this hype was 3 playoff years, two of which were only tangentially connected to all these prospects. I would be fine with this group only bringing 3 playoff runs so long as the farm system didn't come to all but a screeching halt (but not a complete one, so shut up) afterwards.

  21. The convenient part is the "hey, there's a difference, so obviously there's no way they could possibly be considered comparable." Lots of differences. They were both the top farm system in the game. That's the important part, the rest is details. This is beyond dumb.
  22. The convenient part is the "hey, there's a difference, so obviously there's no way they could possibly be considered comparable." Lots of differences.
  23. Is there? A good chunk of that first class hinged on pitching prospects. Sure, that's a difference. If you look hard enough, you can always find differences. But in total quality, it was completely comparable. Well, that's a hilariously convenient way of looking at things. "If you ignore the ways they're different, they're practically the same!"
