  1. Careless is an emotionless sociopath; of course a robot would try to turn us after him in the hope he destroys us all.
  2. Digital Autonomous Variegated Integrational Database That's so amazing and I'm disappointed no one else has noticed yet. Oh, we all did.

  4. Man, I thought they did some kind of computery super upgrade a while back. Maybe I just dreamt that Soler is actually a sexy robot...a sexbot, if you will.

  6. Oh man, if that's John Saxon out there I'm DEAD.
  7. Motherfucking Schwarber looks like the Thing.
  8. Nobody's talking about now; this was discussed years ago. Refresh your databanks.
  9. Wait, how would playing somewhere else speed up the process? I thought plenty of us here talked in favor of that in the past? Just that we wished they could have worked out a deal to play at the Cell, or even up in Milwaukee (total longshot, but hey, it came up), so that major work could be done on Wrigley year-round for at least one year instead of mostly during the offseasons.
  10. Yeah, that was great, and so were all of the other ones I listed. The Pierre one was really the only outlier in terms of overpaying for someone they really didn't need based on an overly simplistic idea ("we need a leadoff hitrer!"). [expletive], Hendry's big trades were pretty good.
  11. Please explain, because that's not the kind of move Hendry made a lot. Hendry chased a lot of "it worked for them, we should do that" situations. That's true; I thought he was talking about the trade itself, which was relatively rare for Hendry (at least on that scale; you had that, Lee, Nomar and...Aramis? Am I missing anyone?). He usually chased trends via FA.
  12. WOULD have preferred Dunn; I don't think anyone is sitting here thinking that Dunn ultimately was the better option. And yeah, people would have paid more for Dunn because presumably you could have moved him to 1B or as a DH and just let him do his thing without his defense dragging him down; for whatever reason it didn't work out that way.
  13. Why? Pierre sucked and Dunn ended up sucking; what's the big deal?
  14. I'd much rather the Cubs would have been willing and/or able to work out playing somewhere else for at least a year to help speed along this interminable process.
  15. Please explain, because that's not the kind of move Hendry made a lot.
  16. That made me get up and walk to the other side of the house.
  17. He's pretty damn fun to watch. Hinrich, on the other hand, is like basketball cancer. Why the [expletive] are you playing him when you desperately need offense?
  18. Ugh, that stinks. May he live on forever through one of the greatest rap lyrics everrrrrrrrrrrr.

  20. Who the [expletive] is Jigsaw? He's got Rizzo-face.
  21. Neifi gave us dat ass.
  22. Lowering his hands, raising the strike zone; everything is coming up Baez.
  23. Into our hearts.
  24. I was always annoyed he never brought back the 'stache. Though we'll always have this: http://www.firejoemorgan.com/2008/03/this-column-is-eternal.html
  25. The only Pierre moment I can think of is him robbing Bonds of #714.
