    Me too but part of me fears we've entered into a whole new era of umpire bashing. How is this possibly something you would "fear." Because its all we will hear about. Everyone knows every umpire has their own strike zone, and it sucks and we wish they would just use the technology available to calls balls and strikes. But I don't see the MLB doing anything about it, so all this will lead to is nonstop bitching about every single borderline call. Sometimes ignorance is bliss. There already is nonstop bitching about borderline calls. That's basically baseball DNA.

    I don't really think he did all that much and that's what he was apologizing for to begin with. All he really did was acknowledge Bernstein's comment in his response where he was just continuing to say she sucks at her job (which she absolutely does). He didn't even piggyback onto them in anyway, just referenced what he said. Come on, David. Yeah, "I can't share in your appreciation of this person's huge boobs" is totally validated because he oafishly mentions he thinks she sucks at her job. Wait, why is it oafish to say someone on TV who is terrible at their job is bad at their job? Yes, could've done without the first reference but hardly worthy of a public apology on its own IMO. Again, though, there were subsequent Tweets where he went further where I understand that it was warranted. It's oafish because it's a bit of attempted ass-saving; he was self-aware enough to realize he better throw in a shot at her job performance to "justify" the boob talk, but he's too much of a failure to begin with to not be a little sycophant to the de-facto boss slobbering over a colleague's boobs.

    I saw the lead singer from Fall Out Boy on the Armitage bus last year. He was sloppily making out with his girlfriend(?) like he was 15 and probably thinking up all kinds of terrible songs about the impending break-up.

    Is anyone still hanging on to the notion that Castro will move Russell off SS? Russell is way, way better with the glove. A wizard. If Baez can hit at all (and I certainly believe he will) this is the middle IF of the future. Terrific defensively. Plenty of people see Castro sticking at SS, especially if Baez somehow manages to not be the Sorrowbringer or another 2B candidate emerges a la Al Contra.

    Fair enough, though that's not how those shows work, and the reality is more apt with the Cubs right now.

    well, not sure that is a perfect parallel, since those are shows, and they always do a horrible job "fixing" those places. I have gone through home and office renovations and while they last for months it does usually look like [expletive] within a week or two of being able to move back in. I took it as him saying as they'll basically just cover up how fucked up it still is like those shows do.

    minnesota isn't that weird, but do they not sell Packer throwbacks? Yeah, there's probably a half dozen Packer jerseys I'd expect to see before Kobe. Or even some of the old school Brewers like Molitor and Yount. Dedicated Lakers fans who rightly view the Timberwolves as an abomination. And they probably forgot the Bucks exist like everyone else in the word.
