And this is no knock on anyone that was at Indiana but just what he had to do receiving wise to catch what we feel is at the Major League level in time, he’s worked his tail off. You see it every single day now. When he was in big league camp he was catching [Jake] Arrieta and all of those guys there. He’s got tremendous hands and he’s moving very well behind the plate. Last night he had a sub-2 throwing time on a runner down to second base. So the process has been great with him. Thibodeau has lost just about every important player on his team in playoff series the previous 3 years to a series of fluke injuries that have a specious, if any, connection to the minutes they have played. This series hasn't been his finest (and last year's wasn't either), but his record speaks for itself. Right, it's bizarre how people just gloss over that they were missing their most critical player for multiple playoff runs.

Come on with this [expletive]. Sorry, but Thibs' teams play much better during the regular season. Why? Comparing the regular season to the playoffs isn't going to prove anything. And Thibs' teams playoff record is skewed for pretty glaring reasons. It's not like they haven't had some great playoff series under him, and you're talking about this series like it's been a bust from the start. Two very frustrating losses, sure, but it's not like everything is over because they're 3-2 against an excellent defensive team.
