  1. Nice. Pork lo mein is totally my go-to.
  2. I just put it down to as low a standard as "don't [expletive] up General Tso's." That should be the bare minimum of shitty Chinese food. But place after place that I tried in Chicago would [expletive] it up; way too breaded, way too chewy, not spicy at all, sauce that looked and tasted like it came out of a bunch of smashed sweet & sour packets. How can you [expletive] up General Tso's? It's like they even knew they were terrible at it, too, and half the time it would be called something like "the general's chicken" or "General Tsang's." THAT'S THE WRONG FAKE GENERAL, YOU MONSTERS.
  3. Then I'd remember them; white baseball players are so nebulous. I know we have a bunch of beardos, Kris Bryant and tinyface.
  4. I think you're talking about Hendricks who went to Dartmouth. Arrieta is the workout freak. He won't remember any of that. I can't even picture what their faces look like.
  5. Me too; Chicago mostly [expletive] sucks at it. Lots of good Thai options, though.
  6. Chinese food in Chicago is mostly a shocking abomination for a city of that size (in both scale and fatness); while I was there I only found two places who would deliver to me or I could get to that consistently were at least OK: This place was mostly junk but it was at least edible junk, and their noodles were good as hell: http://www.lincolnparknoodlehouse.com/ This place is [expletive] amazing; it's been there for decades, it has the vibe of a sleazy Chinese mafia lounge, and the food is awesome. Sadly, it's kinda pricey, but worth trying: http://www.deesrestaurant.com/
  7. Oh, [expletive], the answer has been obvious the whole time...Travis Wood's feed has to be nothing but white trash gibberish.
  8. Hendricks is the super nerdy guy, right? Or is that Arietta? Whichever one is the guy who loves studying is gonna be OK.
  9. Or hey, this might be Baez' moment to finally shine; his Twitter has to be a disaster zone.
  10. A really boring guy with really boring Tweets. Who of the current guys really gives off a dead-eyed psycho-vibe? Is Lilly still hanging around?
  11. Nah; just wish that if we had to do the Twitter meme thing we had some kind of semi-literate weirdo to drive it. I mean, Hank White is sitting right there; let him take care of it.
  12. Hey, they get things right every once in a long while.
  13. How many games has the bullpen given up as merciless sacrifices to an uncaring god this season?
  14. Might want to check your math there. Well this seems completely sensible.
  15. I'm just now getting up. Drank myself to sleep last night. It was pathetic. Last night was so cruel. I hate caring about the Cubs. lmao you were serious about the vodka shots? very serious. I literally haven't had any hard liquor in months before last night. I knew that the loss was going to effect my sleep so I found a bottle that was like 1/4th full in the back of a cabinet. Didn't have any OJ so I went with shots. Since I'm not a big drinker and don't have any shot glasses I used the measuring cup from a DayQuil. Chased each shot with a swig of Sierra Mist. It was really sad. Now I have a headache. :banghead: http://myreactiongifs.com/gifs/keyandpeeleno.gif
  16. I am assuming/hoping that it will turn into some kind of brutal fight trench.
  17. I don't know if Butler was spent so much as he was just hurting from landing on LeBron's foot.
  18. Have there been any Ramirez sightings?
  19. I thought neely vanished almost a year ago. Weird. Maybe he got some meds.
  20. neely had some rage issues; this guy seems much more mellow.

  22. Maybe it would be less frustrating if you just looked at them as a usually well run baseball organization instead of acting like they have some kind of baseball genie hidden in the depths of the stadium. Walt [expletive] Jocketty looked like a genius when he was running them And? He did a good job. Having a 13th round pick blossom into a generational talent had a lot to do with his success. Obviously, but it's just silly at a certain point to just keep chalking it up to luck. They've got a good organization that spots and develops talent well and signs well and coaches well. They're the Packers of the MLB.
  23. Same here. Just going to enjoy the ride. If they make the playoffs, hey, great, that's some delicious cake. If not, not really a big deal barring it being because of some kind of disaster.
