  1. Aren't there a lot of moving pieces going into 17 minutes over 4 games such to make that number damn near worthless? Oh, no doubt. That's an incredibly sample size (over the course of a small sample size of four games) with a lot of mitigating factors there. That said, it does feed two into two popular thinking that seem reasonable: Gibson is playing far better than Noah right now and Mirotić does wonders to space the floor when he's in at the 4. What is the best site to get +/- info? I want to see how all the big combos have fared in +/- this postseason. I feel like any combo with Mirotic is going to be a +. There is also a basketball-reference.com that is very handy.
  2. Well, that's certainly not the case: Noah played 37 minutes last game and Taj played almost 34. Noah ended up with 15 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block and 8 points for a +4 Taj ended up with 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 6 points for a -1. What about game 2? Both players played just under or over 22 minutes. Noah had 11 rebounds, 3 blocks and 4 points for a -2. Taj had 9 rebounds, 1 block and 9 points for a 0. They were both terrible in game 2, with Noah ending up at -11 and Taj at -15 (Noah played just shy of 30 minutes and Taj only 20). In game 1 Noah was a +13 and Taj was a -13. (Both played just over 28 minutes)
  3. Yeah, it's not like it's only a small amount of posts are made on the fly without quoting; it sure seems like most are actually made responding to the general topic or direction of the thread instead of being a direct reply to any one post. Plus it's not like we'd be losing the option to do the latter the same as before.
  4. Yeah, I'd still like this; I know people like TT have been vocally opposed, though I'm not really sure why.
  5. You got this guy posting this, you got the weirdo who still wants to bump Castro off of SS for Russell for no reason whatsoever...are people really giving up on him? Castro's going to be fine.

  7. Hahahahaah! Dude lied about being banned? Oh, please have a faked death be just around the bend.
  8. Dude always has hit a lot of grounders. Granted, for a while he was hitting almost nothing but grounders, but if people are going to be let down every time he hits it on the ground...prepare to be disappointed a LOT.

  14. Wait, Hosak and da Bum crying that imb wasn't banned for saying shut up to da Bum after da Bum was trying to diagnose some kid's [expletive] NECK WRINKLES?!? And, of course, it's a primo example of Roast trying so damn to be a mod like it's his life dream.
  15. Please fix your quotes. And again, he didn't get an unusually low amount of minutes for a unremarkable rookie. He didn't end up in "the dog house;" he just didn't show much.
  16. I'm going to say disastrous pet jumps should be the appropriate new theme: http://33.media.tumblr.com/ecece2e55ebf563b0f5b37f786ec850c/tumblr_nk2dnhuE7x1s612eao1_500.gif
  17. OVERRULED. I've had enough of these shenanigans, Mr. Stone! That's right, I'm doing it old skool. *CLONK CLONK*

  19. Pretty much; nobody disagrees that it's a war crime that Hinirch got as much time as he did during the season as opposed to McDermott getting more minutes, but it's weird how some people talk about him sometimes like there's potentially this gamechanging talent just rotting on the bench. McDermott got just under the number of minutes that Jimmy Butler got in his rookie season. And as good as Butler has become, he didn't enter the league that way...it took time to develop. Maybe McDermott will end up being awesome, but trying to shoehorn him in to the playoffs with around 300 minutes played in the regular season does nobody any good. Great points.
  20. He really didn't get an unusually low amount of minutes for a rather unremarkable rookie; we were just especially bothered by it because the alternative was the walking pit of despair that is Kirk Hinirch. Odds are Doug McDermott wouldn't be a significant factor in these playoffs even if he had gotten more time.
