It's weird when you're like this. not sure what you think you jumped into but you're jumping on the wrong side This board's pretty damn realistic about the Cubs except for the game threads, which is riddled both absurd pessimism and random games when you go on these really amusing aggro super positivity bouts. It's pretty great.

    He's getting babipd. He's about as much of a lock as there is for that kind of obp on this team short of bryzzo. And even while being babipd, he's on pace for 3 WAR walks are down, line drives are down, flyballs are up, hard contact percentage is down. i'm not saying .290 is the "correct" babip, but i'm also not super confident that .340 or what is either. Yup. He's really not getting hard-lucked too far off from what he "should" be at; that OBP is a good 40-60 points off what one would hope for or even expect. And again, that value is propped up by his defense not sucking. Are he and Coghlan examples of them knowing how to fix guys along those lines?

    Yeah, Fowler isn't really producing offensively quite like the Fowler you'd expect/hope for. Overall he's been fine, but his value has been helped by him not sucking defensively like he usually does. If they can sign him for a year or two, great. If he wants more, paaaaaaaaaasssssssssss.

    as far as i remember, whoever was really positive on it, liked it because of the draft strategy it allowed more than they liked schwarber and many didn't like it So what you're saying is my decision to basically ignore the draft pick threads after about the first 5 minutes after the pick is sound.
