Is Mojo some kind of new hipster slur that I'm not aware of yet? Every time he types "you guys" he always has to go back and replace an "a." So he has to do it, like, 86 times a day.

It's incredibly easy for them to justify it; they don't have the DH year-round, and he's not ready to play catcher or the OF for the team. -

you have to assume the Cubs are trading for a veteran with a NTC, and not trading away their own veterans that have one (Lester?) That's what I guessed, but I'm also not going to pretend like I have a clue who, if anyone, had a NTC on the Cubs. I was mainly thinking of how Shark had one (I think he did, right), so I didn't know if there was still someone like that lurking. Not Shark. Dempster. Am I completely hallucinating NTC talk with Shark? Was one being offered/demanded in the extension rumors? EDIT: OK, now I feel slightly less crazy.

I was obviously joking since I am fairly positive Lester is the only one with a NTC. was more replying to mojo...wasn't sure if he was kidding CAN'T A MAN JUST ASK A QUESTION.

Do they say which team they think the NTC player is on? Who on the Cubs that is a likely candidate for trading has a NTC?

Um, pay attention guy. We sent him to the Rays in the Garza trade. Rumor has it they had the choice of him or McNutt and they took Archer. I follow the minors and prospects maybe 1% as much as most of you, and forget about them the second they're gone [expletive], I think even Mojo would know Archer was in our system. mojo knows those guys for sure ie josh donaldson Oh yeah. I was still paying attention back then. I just realized the other day that I remembered that the Cubs traded Nolasco, Mitre and Pinto for Pierre and all I could think was "why have I retained this knowledge?"

If the bullpen somehow morphs into something not terrible for a sustained period of time I just may turn inside out. It looked shockingly competent today.
