You're just being willfully contrarian. You know pitchers can add to their value by being a competent bat. Zambrano added like 1.5 WAR one year, and Lester is literally the worst hitting pitcher in the game. You don't see how that lessens his value in the NL? For a good as a pitcher he can be, he continually shoots himself in the foot with pretty much every other single aspect of NL baseball. Zambrano is a clear outlier and a really stupid comparison point. Lester is obviously a shitty hitter even by pitcher standards, but ultimately most of them are just varying versions of the same shitty hitter. -

Why would i spend money on a team i hate and troll? why would you buy food you don't eat? why would you buy a car you don't drive? i mean [expletive] this is basic stuff here.. Wait. Did you think they were accusing you of trolling the Cubs? Thats usually what people mean when they call you a troll on a message board focused on a specific team. Only 3 of the players have anything resembling a significant sample size: 1 of them is Miguel Cabrera, who is a threat against everyone. The other one is Ian Kinsler, who is also a good hitter. The third is Rajai Davis, who stinks this year. So basically it means "watch out for 2 of their 3 best hitters (common sense) and Rajai Davis," yet he's trying to use it to do his latest schtick of just trying to annoy people by nursing the dumbest doom boner around.
