People who say they like pitcher's duels are dirty liars. Damn right.
-
Man, this one is a snoozer. Give me some damn dongs.

Even being a part time catcher would take Schwarber's bat out of the lineup more than it should be. I want that whammer in there as much as possible.

Epic AB.
-
Soler was garbage defensively and barely contributing with the bat; the downgrade from him to Coghlan/Denorfia is negligible, if any at all. They've got a ton of guys to play 2B.
-
Weird; sontensei disappears yet again when they go on a tear, but the moment there's an opportunity to wail about things going wrong, voila! He's back!
-
That is more than likely vs. LHP only. Russell is out with a Groin Strain and is Day 2 Day. That is more concerning for me as he has been very good as of late. But he is also 2 cool 2 B 4gotten.
-
Look at it as he's just postponing the crushing slap of reality. He's actually kind of a hero!
-
Well, there goes any chance of trading Soler.

NOTHING EVER MAKES YOU HAPPY.

This AR guy is worried about the Giants sweeping the Cubs and catching up 5.5 games back, but the Cubs catching the Cardinals 6.5 games out? IMPOSSIBLE.

The gigantic forced perspective dragonflies did it for me. -
With all of their hilarious and awesome walk-up music choices lately, I want to see them do something really ridiculous, like trolling the other team by everyone using something truly shitty like Smash Mouth's "All-Star."

DAMN YOU FOR BEATING ME TO IT.

So you bump Coghlan out? Hell no. I asked yesterday and Baez has hit lefities better than righties in the minors; since Coghlan is sitting against LH pitchers anyway it shouldn't be hard to give Baez some time and see if he can someone not be a nightmare at the plate. -
Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup. VIVA LA REAL CUBANS!!!

Did you read the whole article? The idiot goes on to write: It read like he was trying his hardest to not say that the Cubs are the team the Giants are chasing for the WC, like he knew this was a terrible article, but he was still going to write it, dammit.

I'm still kinda terrified of the Cubs settling for re-signing Fowler as being all that they should do with the OF for next season. He's countering being REALLY bad for a while by being amazing, which really skews what the hell to expect out of him going forward, plus I'm still wary about how his defense is suddenly rated as being a lot more tolerable this season. I wouldn't mind bringing him back if it went along with, say, signing Heyward (or Cespedes) and trading Soler, but just going forward with Schwarber, him and Soler all but locked in as the OF would make me a little nervous. Smart people anticipated that his defense could be significantly improved. Still would prefer them spending the money on a better player like Cespedes, or a younger and better player like Heyward. Basically it all comes down to how tied up they are money-wise, and how much of their available payroll re-signing Fowler would eat up.

That's not just a "right now" scenario; that should be the scenario for as long as they have him, and trying to stick him at catcher ends up pulling his bat out of the lineup more than if he was in LF.
