  1. The Bears might not even technically count as a football team at this point.
  2. Guy with 18 HR on the season hits a HR. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_oG2ffHT1kXk/SmS0Xqlql3I/AAAAAAAAFDQ/RyqA1KXiU4k/s400/moon.onion.jpg YES. There's zero chance that anyone would be dumb enough to think Brandon Moss hitting a home run would be a lucky break; clearly he's bragging about one of his Cardinals doing well.
  3. Nats are closer to us than we are the Cards. And The Giants are closer to catching the Dodgers than they are us. https://youtu.be/CZd_YyFzPD0
  4. Yeah, the kids and dogs ones are unbeatable. My brother had to do foreign service for the better part of a year and left his dog under my parents' care. She ended up with me in Chicago when he finally got back stateside and my dad and I took her out for a walk out the back door while he came in the front after we picked him up from the airport. When we came back in she just froze when she saw him before absolutely losing her [expletive] mind and knocking him to the floor and just spinning around on top of him and doing this weird yelp-whine and licking him nonstop for a good 10 minutes. Dogs are the besssssssssssssssst.
  5. Gleyber Torres; CSC is a notorious racist. I KEED, I KEED.
  6. If Russell gets on and then Baez ties it I will start going to church again.
  7. Just because you're not getting calls doesn't mean you groove one in there to arguably the hottest hitter in baseball.
  8. In what [expletive] universe are those balls.
  9. Baez is gonna win this thing.
  10. God DAMMIT, Hammel! HOLD UNTIL RELIEVED.
  11. Of course that dumb little mutant hits a HR. OF COURSE. Bet you can't do it again, you baseball troll.
  12. It DID turn out that Ashley Madison was pretty much all robots...
  13. Why the [expletive] would TLS start over both Baez and Castro. This is AN OUTRAGE.
  14. Gruden is a monster, we can agree on that.
  15. Yeah, while he was healthy and running a style of offense that isn't sustainable in the NFL if you want your QB actually upright and in the lineup. He's toast. it's plenty sustainable, it's what the seahawks do. Because Russell Wilson is better and not hobbled. But other than that, sure, it could be the same thing!
  16. i think it's a quality, and the quality of being good in interviews isn't such a specific talent that's only good for interviews. i love when you bury your head in the sand, especially when you're implying that the bears would be risking it all by giving him a shot. Basically, you think 1. Griffin's ability to speak is only good for interviews. 2. Developing him would make the bears terrible, even though they're unwatchable now. 3. Developing a leader is going to require some kind of lengthy and intensive program of tough love and sleepless nights holding his hair as he pukes in the halas hall toilet when he's allowed to run, he's an exciting player, meathheads can get behind that. when things have one bad for him, they've gone very bad, but that can change. No, I think trying to develop him as anything besides a backup would be a waste of time and money. I have absolutely no interest as to when and where and how he's a good speaker. He physically cannot play the position; it's not a matter of "allowing" him to run. He can't run like he did when he showed up, and he's shown that without that ability he's an unremarkable passing QB at BEST.
  17. Ou est la nouveau game thread?!?
  18. Uh, yes, clearly I was the one saying they're non-existent, because they are. You essentially want them to rebuild this guy from the ground up now that he's all but a bust on almost every possible level, and your one argument as to why you think he'd be a good leader is....he's good in interviews.
  19. Great, so not only would they have to try and rebuild his physical ability and his ability to handle an NFL playbook, both of which have degraded to depressingly bad levels, but they would also get to be tasked with "harnessing" his non-existent "leadership qualities?" Holy hell, anything else they could work on?
  20. I want to know what membership that e-mail is about.
  21. Now I want the post-game interview done with just intense Schwarber-like staring and complete silence.
  22. Err it plays over the loud speakers at Wrigley. Yes, that's true. Also, I'm asking if WGN is the only station that still plays it after wins. Don't be an idiot. You're asking if the other stations selectively mute out the music being played in the stadium after a win? I think he's asking if the other networks play the stadium feed of Go Cubs Go after wins. Once the game ends and Len/JD stop talking they pipe in the stadium feed of the song so it sounds louder on TV I could only think of them doing that if they were showing a montage of the game highlights or the like. You can hear it fine on Comcast broadcasts, and ESPN doesn't seem to cut it out; you can typically hear it loud and clear even when they cut back to the booth for the wrap-up.

  24. When even the reddit community thinks you're being ridiculous... Yeah.
  25. It's his impression of Arrieta on the mound.
