  1. I kept waiting for the pizza slice to hit him in the head.

  3. "Hey boss, I'm going to be calling in sick for the foreseeable future. Yeah, I'm being investigated for vehicular manslaughter, so I just can't show up. No idea when I'll be back, so have someone cover for me. PEACE."
  4. Why are you thinking he's just supposed to sit in his house and not do anything while the investigation is going on? They have no idea how this going to play out, but it's not like everything is on hold until he's actually charged or suspended or something along those lines.
  5. If you're under investigation for something it's not like you just automatically stop going to work. Then it's that much more entertaining when Green slaps the cuffs on him in the middle of practice and Briscoe has an awesome pithy comment before reading him his rights.
  6. oh my god this is a real person you're getting really aggressive with this gimmick lately. let nsbb breathe, david. over a third of the cubs remaining games are with the pirates. obviously i'm rooting for the cubs there. if the cubs pass the cardinals, they most likely passed pittsburgh too. in the event that the cubs don't win the division, i really would like the cubs to play the cardinals. i think it's an easier matchup, and getting the chance to knock out st. louis in one game (with arrieta pitching) sounds extremely appealing. getting home field against pittsburgh doesn't really mean as much to me. anyways, i said "kind of". i'm not really actively rooting for them. All perfectly reasonable (I've been preferring the idea of knocking the Cardinals out in one game for a little while, too), but you have to remember that David is some kind of cursed were-meatball. When the Cubs lose he undergoes a horrifying transformation and then nobody is safe until it subsides.
  7. I can live with that.
  8. Exactly what it is. I'm encouraged by a couple of the young guys that played above average (Goldman, Amos, Sutton). But they simply do not have enough talent on the OL or defensive back areas to seriously compete this year. It was weirdly refreshing to see them simply lose for not being as good as the other team as opposed to repeatedly doing dumb [expletive] that just obliterates any chance they ever had.
  9. Technically every game ever in the history of baseball.
  10. My meatball reaction after being able to watch most of the game in a replay is that it felt like finally watching a team with some good coaching again, but the talent level is lacking.
  11. i wonder how they'll feel about taking 7/7 from the mets He's saying it as a thread, not a warning.
  12. Would they somehow count less if they happened earlier in the season?
  13. Yuuuuuuup. That about sums it up.
  14. Nevermind.
  15. That's more like it.
  16. Forte had a sure-fire dropped TD. Cutler hasn't looked bad at all. The feed keeps dropping for me; all I'm looking at is the box score with his stank numbers. He's been pretty good. Just not hitting on 50/50 type balls partially because his ball placement hasn't been good enough and it sticks out when Rodgers is connecting on the same type of throws and fitting the ball in one foot windows. Yeah if you think Cutler is going to be in the same stratosphere as Aaron Rodgers, you're gonna have a bad time Hoping for better than 10-21, 95 yards and no TD and a rating of 60 after 2 quarters is hardly expecting him to be Rodgers-like. It's almost as if nobody said they were hoping for anything like that....weird.

  18. I've seen like 2 minutes of this game; is Cutler as bad as his numbers look or have there been some dropped passes?
  19. There's no way they didn't see this coming...but they traded for him anyway? How does that make any kind of sense to you?
  20. I think "Bulaga" is how Jabba the Hutt greeted C-3P0.
  21. Oh no, I looked over the roster; he's trumped everyone. And Starlin [expletive] ruled in the first month.
  22. Bakhtiari has such soft eyes and silken hair in his pic. He looks so cuddly.
