he of the .348 OBP (and .500 SLG)? if you want to get your UMFan on, his september numbers look bad until you realize his K rate is down, BB rate is up, OBP is still .324 despite a .179 avg on a .176 BABIP (good for a 105 wRC+) Man I had not realized his babip was so bad. Good lord. What doesn't help is the one-two punch of Schwarber being shackled by the BABIP gods at the same time that Dexter is back into another stankin' ass phase of the moon this month. -
i'd say he's right more often than most and he has a lot of knowledge of baseball and the things he's talking about even if he doesn't know stuff like what hand mike minor throws with or which one is paul blackburn and which is duane underwood. Mojo would kindly request you stop making people up. I seriously thought David somehow fucked up the phrase "what hand makes minor throws" because even something that nonsensical makes more sense than someone named Mike Minor existing. Seeing as his three decent years were while the Cubs were in the wastes and that he plays for the [expletive] Braves, I stand by it.

I'm totally cool with making the 3rd starter some kind of Frankenstein monster made up of pitchers. i'm inclined to agree with you, finally. but after tonight i'd rather give hendricks with ball and just give him a SHORT leash. no harm in that, right? That's pretty much the same thing as a Frankenstein monster made up of pitchers. That's what I was thinking; expect/hope Hendricks can go 3-4 innings, then Cahill and Wood and all the rest. Hell, have Hammel standing by if necessary.
