Old teams that are trying to compete don't trade their best player. Well, the rumors are there. Jimmy and Rose are not far apart when I look at what they bring defensively and offensively. Rose's contract, Bulls brass tired of his act, Rose's loss of explosion to the rim, lack of willingness to work with Jimmy, and injury history are plenty of reasons that a trade is a good possibility., No, it's really not; any talk of the Bulls moving on from Rose are with the idea they simply don't re-sign him after his contract is up. What team is going to give up real value for an oft-injured player who is ridiculously expensive and who they could simply just try and sign as a FA after next season? This ain't baseball. IF the Bulls trade him it's for peanuts in the hope they can free up money for next season, but they're looking to be competitive now regardless of what happens between them and Rose after his contract is up, and getting rid of Rose basically kills them for this season.

Oh God, I had no idea they had made one about that. Violence on TV or movies usually doesn't bother me, but even just reading the description of what happened to him makes me feel woozy.

The Two Escobars is my favorite one. Yeah, one of the best, plus most of the "Soccer Stories" shorts they've done have been pretty fun, too.

I was just surprised by how aggressive it seemed, but that makes sense. I think they're shittily trying to save face after how effectively the accuser's parents (especially the mother, obviously), torpedoed any real chance they had of prosecuting this. And call me nuts, but the actions of the parents made me believe it even more; if the goal is just to get money, why were they doing and saying such desperate things to try and push a criminal case forward? So many rape/sexual assault cases end up in civil suits because that's what the lawyers suggest because it's often so unlikely to get a criminal conviction? It's a mess all around, but that struck me as a couple of weirdos freaking out and thinking their daughter wasn't going to get any justice. It's just sad.

Again, he could have just worn a condom. And I'd assume one of the main reasons rape/sexual assault cases have so few convictions is because they often end up hinged on conflicting eyewitness testimony, which is hugely unreliable to begin with. Compound it with the main eyewitness being someone who potentially suffered a traumatic incident and, well, here we are. Basically they're trying to scramble to put lipstick on a pig right now to try and justify doing nothing.

Here's what I don't get to people opposed to things like this; what is stopping these mythical sexual predators from simply dressing up as the opposite gender to get into the other side's bathrooms to do their nefarious [expletive] right now? What do they think, we're going to get guards checking everyone's junk before they let them in?
