john lackey sucks and we were always right to hate him

Lackey is the reason for all of the various slumps and struggles going on. -
I feel like if something as weird as Rich Hill and Matt Murton ending up back on this team would make Theo this guy:

I'm more bothered by La Stella being grouped in with those titans. (Also: maybe Baez)
-
-
I've noticed him doing the whole "point up at God thing" a lot more lately when he gets on base....so when he was pointing at the base before, was he actually hailing Satan? Was that Ben Zobrist's brief window of being cool?

How dare you.

So quit whining and start a "I hate Baez" thread, champ. -
Correct. This is the most difficult month of the season schedule-wise, 18 games against playoff contenders. The Cubs are 10-4 in those games. Despite losing 8 of 12 they're still playing at a 109 win pace overall. The pitching has continued to be solid. Things are more than fine. I think it's fine to express frustration so long as perspective is maintained. Being a well-adjusted person doesn't mean having no emotions whatsoever. People differ in their levels of expression, is all. At best this makes you this guy:

AS GAWD IS MY WITNESS, THE CUBS' OFFENSE IS BROKEN IN HALF!!!
-
Hey, at least we can get to bed at a reasonable hour.
-
It's weird how the doom boners always talk about how they're too busy to show up for most of the games when the Cubs are good, but then the Cubs go on a stretch of funky baseball and they somehow manage to be here every damn game.
-
That's why it's dongs or nothing. Knock off this piddling, no-dong horsefeathers.
-
Yeah, he should kill one player to set an example for the rest of the team. mojo (mistakenly) nominated zobrist : ( Zobrist obviously would be the one doing the killing.
-
Please seek help.

I say they lose in humiliating fashion tonight and the rage and shame is so great they never lose again for the rest of the season and they lay waste to everyone.
-
Lackey gave up that home run literally 5 seconds after I turned the game on, so I shall declare him to be a loathsome, horse-toothed anus no matter how well he actually pitched.
-
If he made this his walkup music I would actually like him: https://youtu.be/taA5bbLpA0s

You know it's just temporary, so it makes it incredibly boring. It's like the week or two before Christmas and it feels like it takes horsefeathering FOREVER.
-
Easy there, kiddo. Lots of bad luck in the late innings. The out of the basepaths call, the liner right to SS, and then that. It's frustrating. That's just some goofy horsefeathers, man. Pretty sure a comfortably 1st place team losing a 1-0 game isn't some kind of divine smiting.
-
Good Lord, that was a boring game.

-
Well, dang.
