  1. Is Strop taking forever between pitchers/batters, or is Gameday just REALLY slow suddenly?
  2. There's a lot of things you don't understand today, Conky.
  3. That he has David's support only proves he is an unfeeling machine who will not stop until Bryant is destroyed. He's somehow responsible for Schwarber, too. Wait...it's not that Fowler inexplicably wasn't offered a better deal over the Cubs; the reality is the real Fowler is missing and Almora has taken his place. Just wait...Fowler's first game back he's going stagger onto the field after being released by Almora, looking dazed and confused before seeing Almora himself, who coldly does this: http://reaction.club/r/hqg-2417.gif
  4. Definitely less poor than almost any other year I've been a Cubs fan. It's not that I'm not enjoying this season, but after an NLCS appearance, it will be hard to not be disappointed by not at least making it to the fall classic this time around, no? I'm sure we'll all be disappointed if they lose in the playoffs. There's a huge gulf between that and "At least for myself, anything short of winning the World Series this year is a failed season". Yeah, 2008 is still one of the most fun I've had as a Cubs fan, and it's not like it suddenly became terrible because of how it ended. I never get this mentality.
  5. At least for myself, anything short of winning the World Series this year is a failed season Ugh.
  6. Oh, also: Rizzo is still the team's best hitter. Bryant is a better overall player, but Rizzo is still a better hitter. I won't argue that because it might be true. I think losing Bryant would probably lead to our losing the division and having to scratch out a wildcard. This offense has had some real problems as it is scoring against even mediocre pitching losing Bryant just compounds that. Again, do you realize what the division lead is? Bryant is damn good, but THAT good?
  7. Even though he ended up flying out, I loved that whole AB. I know he's barely been up, but he just seems so sure of himself at the plate.

  9. Rizzo is going to hit with the strength of 10 men going forward in honor of Bryant's shameless murder at the hands of Almora.

  11. Clearly he knows his days are numbered with Fowler coming back, so he's trying to sabotage Bryant like a coward so he can LF. Sidenote: he went after Bryant instead of Heyward because he's a racist and is terrified of black people and really should be traded to the Cardinals ASAP where they condone such loathsome acts.
  12. He's possibly assassinated Bryant's knee and hits like he's swinging a rotted seabass for a bat. Rank your hatred for him on a scale of "I hate him a little bit" to "I hope he gets banished to the Phantom Zone and his glass plate prison gets stepped on by an elephant."
  13. I was talking about their careers.
  14. Probably missing their old glasses.
  15. Literally the only thing Rondo and Edmonds have in common is unlikability and brought to a Chicago team when theoretically their careers should be all but done. Edmonds could play; Rondo was an overrated hump at best.
  16. Hot damn.
