  1. He can still recruit. Hearing how great the city is, how good it is to have the backing of the FO......It just sounds better coming from a bigtime player, than it does from anyone else. He's one of the most well liked and respected players around. Plus, it takes away the fact none of the big guys choose Chicago. He IS older, it MAY not help. But its worth a shot. Just need to keep him happy and healthy now to see. This just seems like a stretch; even though Wade is still a big name, everyone knows he's at the end of his career, and recruiting seems to work best when the player recruited knows they're going to be (at least in theory), y'know, actually playing with the guy recruiting them for a while. It would be one thing if it's Wade and the Bulls are one of a few teams with money to spend; but since everyone has big money to spend, why would Wade's recruiting have that much weight since he's going to be gone so quickly and there's so many better, younger guys out there doing the same? If anything, I have more hope in Butler talking to guys trying to get them to come to Chicago. Then Wade is basically the veteran who gets hired to hang around a car dealership and sells cars just by waving at people.
  2. meph had to downsize nsbblol.
  3. Agreed. Wade turning into Love would be pretty great.
  4. At this point, any Cub not playing in the ASG and taking the time off seems like good news.
  5. Someone explain to me the idea that Wade would help the Bulls draw in big FA's. He's old and clearly only going to be here a couple years at the most, so why would big names look at him as a reason to come to Chicago when EVERYONE has horsefeathers you-money?
  6. Man, what an FU to get Rose's one friend after they dumped him on the Knicks. That's cold.
  7. What? No. He's old and costs a ton. Though I'd happily give up Vogelbach for him.
  8. That's lame. Thanks business ops Coffee is for closers and business class is for winners. Cubs should have taken the bus the entire way and force Arrieta to hitchhike. With Joe hollering obscenities at them the entire team, BECAUSE IT INSPIRES WINNERS AND WINNING AND WINNING WINNERS.
  9. I only reference top shelf TV shows.
  10. You solved it. Not enough yelling. Why are you still posting if the issue is solved? Would yelling make things worse after going 4-11 in our last 15? The best part about you being so hung up on a grown man screaming at other grown men is that it would be a grown man screaming at other grown men and there's no way you'd be able to see or hear it happen.
  11. In what world do the Cubs give you any indication they'll sweep the Pirates? Braves and Reds fans probably said similar things coming in to this series. It's a fickle game.
  12. Though they still have a commanding division league, so it's a weird kind of bad luck.
  13. Feels like a Rizzo dong-kinda night anyway.
  14. I was just looking at his numbers; what the [expletive] happened to his power? Not that he was a big donger, but he was good for about 15 or so for his career until he got to Atlanta last year. Neck surgery It was a transplant to La Stella, wasn't it?
  15. The walkoff dong tonight is going to be so cathartic.
  16. I was just looking at his numbers; what the horsefeathers happened to his power? Not that he was a big donger, but he was good for about 15 or so for his career until he got to Atlanta last year.
  17. Markakis has hit 50% of his home runs this season in this game.
  18. All the "horsefeathers the closer" or whatever nonsense has apparently snapped Rondon in 'twain.
