    For all of you doom boner specialists out there: how come this crappy series means you think the Cubs would, of course, lose to the Mets in the playoffs if they met them there, yet the Mets trounced the Cubs in the playoffs last year even though the Cubs swept them during the regular season.     7 of the 10 of them lowered their ERAs against the Cubs, so... And? What team is regularly beating up on the best pitchers? What if there is a team and they have a crappy record overall? It's almost like this a classic example of misconstruing sample size...

    I mean, yeah, they're going through a shitty stretch, but I don't understand that standpoint of people that THIS must be the Cubs team we're going to see for the rest of the season. Why is that so much more likely? And like I said before, where are the teams that do usually do well against the best pitchers?
