  1. I dont think it was that low. A couple million a piece. I'm terrible with max numbers in the NBA; I figured it was around $19 million and they each were getting around $15 million that first season.
  2. I think all 3 took pretty significantly below the max deal level when they initially signed with Miami; the numbers went up after that, but it was relatively pretty low those first two seasons.
  3. I wonder if it's more or less the same thing. Not discomfort, but just looked odd because he had to put a little more effort into the throw than most shortstops with a stronger arm. I've noticed it every now and then too, but he's so smooth with the glove that it's not even worth complaining about. Yeah, it's not like it's some big secret; I've seen it brought up plenty of times that he technically doesn't have as strong an arm as you want or hope from a SS, but it's not like it's got a noodle out there or anything.
  4. I don't think it's weird; having Bryant and Baez both playing defense in the infield is much more valuable than fitting Zobrist in.
  5. I thought Hawk just basically said the only knock against Russell is that he seemed to not have as strong an arm as you usually want from a SS; I must have missed him specifically talking about how he might have any discomfort when throwing.
  6. His arms being so tucked in this year seems...odd. I'm assuming that they were, what, trying to shorten his swing? But looking at it it just seems like it really awkward for him to connect with any real power.
  7. I'm equal parts disgusted and impressed because I am, of course, assuming he had the atomic shits and had to be carted off.
  8. I have a good feeling about him today, I have no idea why.
  9. Go, higher draft pick, go!
  10. Schwarber, but it should have been Soler, dammit. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN SOLERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
  11. Holy horsefeathers, WSR; shrink that sig. Maybe use this version instead?
  12. I would really love a gif of the closeup ESPN had of the Sox' starter right before he was taken out, with his weirdly twitching/clenching jaw after Baez annihilated his world.
  13. If someone can tighten it up I would greatly appreciate it. http://i.imgur.com/WYJl8vL.jpg YOINK. Thanks.
  14. Worth a shot; let's bring Aramis along for a little extra help. Great picture, can we re-size it slightly smaller? Or does it only show up huge for me? If someone can tighten it up I would greatly appreciate it.
  15. This is totally based on nothing except pessimism, but this seems like it would have to involve a pretty damn loose definition of a "linedrive." The times where he's actually crushed one into an out or a hit seem REALLY few and far between.
  16. I'd be totally fine with it.
  17. Well, Trout is a better baseball player.
  18. Worth a shot; let's bring Aramis along for a little extra help.
  19. you don't get to decide what people discuss here. you know what this topic is about. contribute positively or ignore it and gtfo. How is my side of the arguement any different than multiple posters coming at me or stating their opinion? You're an idiot Dude basically went out like this: http://i.giphy.com/9umH7yTO8gLYY.gif
  20. That's a staggering lack of self-awareness.
