  1. Yeah, I'd like to see him traded to the Pirates, too. ZING.
  2. Now watch, Baez will inexplicably dong and vindicate bukie's first page buttknockery.
  3. MLB Network doesn't have nearly the same reach as ESPN does, so it makes sense for them to want to be seen by more people and get paid in the process. ESPN can pay MLBN to produce what they already make instead of paying their people to make it. And it's not like their talent can balk at it since ESPN just flooded the market with talent and drove down the costs for everybody in the biz. It's also not much different than the simulcasting of already established radio shows. If espn is paying MLBN more than MLBN's advertisers, sure. But why lose ratings on your own shows to espn? Man, it's almost like MLB is one of the owners of the MLB Network or something.
  4. Indeed. That moment when you realize that even MLB scrubs are world class athletes Yeah, I'd probably kill myself and the catcher if I tried it.
  5. Man, Coghlan is the absolutely last guy I would have picked to pull something like that off so smoothly.
  6. We have the 6th best team BB% in MLB at 10.1% only .5% separates us from the 2nd best teams and have taken the 3rd most walks at 78, which is 4.1 a game. Excellent.
  7. Almost same as last year Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk Sweet. Glad my gut was so wrong.
  8. As a team are the Cubs walking a lot less so far this year? Without bothering to do an iota of actually research, it's seems like every game I check to see the walks they maybe manage to draw 1-2 at best.
  9. Hendricks is pitching like he has swamp butt.
  10. Maybe somebody told Baez they moved to a different hotel and forced Joe not to use him.
  11. A wild Konerko fan was really happy that the White Sox won:
  12. I was critical of him after game 1 so I'll admit I'm pleasantly surprised by his uptick in performance. I still don't like the swing, but it's working for now. I still think he's gonna go into a slump and he hits too many groundballs, but at least he isn't striking out anymore. Call me crazy but I still hope he opts out just because I think the last few yrs are gonna be ugly and the defense will be in decline. Also, we could allocate that money somewhere else to someone better (probably). Everyone here knows he will go into a slump, just like everyone here knows the haters are anxiously waiting for it to happen so they can continue complaining about him as soon as it starts Yeah, every player goes through stretches like that; to talk like when it inevitably happens to Heyward it will be some kind of "ah-HAH"-moment is weird.
  13. I said it somewhere in the offseason, but LeMahieu is basically Theriot with a little more BABIP and slightly more power both of which way may Coors Field aided, losing him is such a wet fart of a move that guys like Jesse Rogers like to write articles about. IMO there's no maybe about it; his home/road splits are pretty glaring: .333 .390 .461 .851 (1344 PA) .264 .310 .337 .647 (1266 PA)
