If you mean an ominous picture of a deadeyed Happ, I agree. Sends all the right messages. We should just send Happ up to Milwaukee and have him sit in front of the stadium whittling a bone. -
Tanking horsefeathering sucks and is lame every single time but it's great. That is the conundrum.

the brewers were not nearly better than the cubs last year. the cubs are also obviously adding a pitcher. What? They were a young team that had a 5.5 game lead on them at one point. They fell apart at the end of the year. They've added a ton so far, what if they sign Darvish? I like how the team that had a horsefeathering 12 game swing to blow the horsefeathering division is somehow the one you're impressed with.

It cracks me up how he's wishy-washy on the nicknames, which was pretty much the only thing people liked or remembered about the XFL.

I guess I just don't understand the idea of it happening "too late." Like, is he saying because he wasn't that good when he was a younger player, it should count against him? Why? And man, I was surprised at Ortiz only being a 50 fWAR player. I guess I just assumed he was 60+ even with the slow start to his career.

What’s funny is that I don’t even really think he was that popular with Cubs fans throughout 2015 and wasn’t until Bryzzo started their Instagram page for Grandpa Rossy during Spring Training of 2016 that his popularity really grew. Well, yeah; he was terrible in 2015 and then became a mascot AND managed to have one of the best seasons of his career in 2016.

I thought this was an interesting/ominous take at the shifting economics within baseball, and how it's happening at the cost of the players. Yeah, me too. I finally got around to watching "I Am Chris Farley" last weekend and it really made me appreciate again how big of an impact he had in a short amount of time. There will never be another actor quite like him, and for that matter, where is the next generation of young comedy actors? It could just be that I'm just no longer in the target demographic and don't "get" today's comedy, but what happened to the comedy genre? There are only a handful of comedies I can think of over the past decade that were even worth watching. But I am clearly way off topic... I'm very confused by this post. Are you talking about movies or TV shows? Either way, there's been tons of great comedies from both. And what does Farley have to do with either? The guy was hilarious, but TV-wise he was only on SNL, and movie-wise he starred in Tommy Boy and then a bunch of crap. I mean, unless there's more Black Sheep fans than I would have thought existed....
