    Maybe. Maybe not. There is a dangerous precedent being set where people are jumping to conclusions without the full context. While some of these people may be genuinely bad guys, I don't think it is fair or productive to keep digging through everyone's past for any sign of a potentially offensive remark. We all have garbage we've put out there online, and nobody forced us to do so. If you get called out for it, it's not hard at all to own up to it and apologize.

    Counterpoint: the only downside to a season of more of these kinds of wins would be all of the boners lasting for more than four hours because of the length of the games.

    Yeah but Randy was getting by on smoke and mirrors and I don’t know if he’s really better than Duensing. This also helps the “depth” and let’s Randy throw more regularly to hopefully fine tune things to become a real thing instead of a guy waiting to blow up because he was getting lucky. Duensing is the last guy in the pen anyways. Not anymore! Loved him in Super Troopers:

    Post trade Verlander >>> Pre trade Verlander >>> Current version of Cole Hamels. No one is expecting a 1.06 ERA down the stretch, but if Hamels could drop his ERA by 2.7 runs, I think everyone would appreciate it. Mostly because it would bother you: Hamels xFIP: 4.18 Verlander 2017 Tigers xFIP: 4.41 Meh.

    I feel like all of the Verlander mentions seem to be dancing around the perception that he was traded to the Astros and THEN started kicking ass again, but dude was born again baller well before that.

    Right, but I don't think Russell is keeping Javy from playing more and Russell is still valuable and plays the SS position better than Javy does. Yes, I was agreeing.
