  1. I just think it's a bit odd to want to call out other Cubs fans after a win or a win streak. Like, "ha-ha! The team you're a fan of is DOING BETTER AND WINNING LOTS OF GAMES. Suck it, loser!"
  2. No excuse to not feast on a pair of crappy WC teams to at least keep pace with the VB.
  3. Hahahaha! Your gas bill must be unusually high in the summer.
  4. Because you typically show up after the game or at the end to start lecturing people for being annoyed with a horsefeathers game. And then, weirdly, you start acting like those people are supposed to be bummed out or embarassed when the Cubs win. People are going to complain when things go poorly, even if that is just for a few innings; you don't have to act like it's going to cripple Bryant because he can't hear enough people clapping for him to come back to life.
  5. My dude, you've been crying all year about a team that is on pace to win 95 games and has won the division the last two years, appeared in the last three NLCS, and won you the damn World Series. You whine nonstop, and you've barely posted while they've been doing well. It's the people enjoying the Cubs' best run in franchise history that are weird, though. Wait, you think he's not enjoying the Cubs when they do well? And HE'S the weirdo? Some people prefer to use the game threads to vent when the Cubs are sucking. Y'know, the flipside of how you all but vanish when they have a crappy game.
  6. Says the guy grousing about Rizzo in this very game thread. It's not like people are griping about a perfect baseball team; shockingly, even good teams can have players or situations that people inexplicably wish were better! But sure, keep acting like it's just you vs. a tide of r_macks.
  7. Why is he trying to enter through the bar though? The player entrance is maybe fifty feet away and he's played around a hundred games at Wrigley Field. He should know this. That's just the weird, pretty awesome persona Votto has embraced in the last few years. I think being trapped on the Reds has driven him slowly insane.
  8. It's crazy the offense has been so good with him being ass and Bryant being just okay/hurt for a good month+ "Crazy" is definitely one way to describe it.
  9. I'm going to this game; how early do people need to show up to make sure they get one? I usually don't care about the giveaways, but I'll be damned if I miss this. If gates open at 5:05 you should honestly try to get there by 5:30.
  10. Which are nice, but some actual dongs would be great, too.
  11. Cubs noticed they scored early and first and quickly realized they had to right the ship ASAP.
  12. Hamilton's horsefeathering BA has gone up, like, 15 points in this series.
  13. Nice to see the Cubs scoring first. It's a pleasant feeling.
  14. I'm following on Gameday; was Lester not trying to bunt?
  15. I'm going to this game; how early do people need to show up to make sure they get one? I usually don't care about the giveaways, but I'll be damned if I miss this.
  16. What, three straight years of declining offensive value is a BAD thing now?!?
