Today is the day I accept we are losing the division to them. (hello everyone in three months digging this up) Well, that's just goofy, though it should be finally obvious at this point that there's not too big a gulf between these teams this season. Get back a non-slap hitter Bryant and a functioning Yu? OK, THEN the fraud talk starts to sounds at least a little less like flop sweat-drenched projecting.

I feel like Duke's evil sorcery works in reverse with teams other than the Cubs, so that when he praises them, even sarcastically, it actually ends up helping them. Duke, what I'm trying to say is that maybe you better shut the flunk up.

How many more excuses will Joe find to keep him out of the starting lineup? Bryant is apparently riddled with Boneitis for the foreseeable future, while we all have a raging case of Boteitis. START THE DAMN BOTE. -
Man, I'm glad I got stuck in traffic without my phone and couldn't hear the end of this. Joe's horsefeathering bullpen management is going to put me in the horsefeathering grave come playoff time. This game couldn't have been more tailor-made to just do the easy thing and go Carl-Sea Shanty-Strop for a nice, painless win. No need to get cute; the bullpen wasn't taxed or short. You get a good inning out of Carl? Great; kiss him on the forehead, say thank you, and then send him on his way. I don't care if he gets 3 outs on 3 pitches; just let him pitch that inning and then move on to the next guy.
