  1. Oh my horsefeathering god, it's really Seal Boy out there. What is even happening anymore.
  2. Because Maddon decided to waste Schwarber on a cameo appearance to draw Hader out of the pen.. What about Happ?
  3. Why would Almora possibly be batting in this situation?
  4. Guys, remember when the Cubs blew a game against the bum ass Nationals where they were up 4-0 courtesy of a Caratini grand slam? That was weird.
  5. If Almora bats, I hope someone shits in Joe's spot in the dugout.
  6. Second strikeout this inning that should have been called and wasn't.
  7. Nobody's blaming the umps like they're THE reason for this; it's just an annoying contributing factor to a team that's struggling. Yeah, I understand. But literally every thread, every one, has at least 15 posts each game about the strike zone or something else. Maybe not literally. I haven't checked. I don't know. I think I'm just bored with all the excuses and frustrated that we suck now. Because umps suck. This guy's zone has been trash for both teams, not just the Cubs, so, again, nobody is saying that he's only screwing the Cubs. It's just frustrating to put up with. Like it would have been great if Wilson had struck out Yelich like he actually pitched instead of what the ump called.
  8. We all want them to hold on. But you don't think they are at this point, right? I have no idea. This team has repeatedly looked like garbage for a week or two and then suddenly kicks ass for a week or two. It'll come down to timing, unless they're finally just too beaten up and have too many guys just flailing away to finally swing back into the black like they've managed to do before.

  10. I'm hoping it solidifies them not horsefeathering around and not letting themselves get outbid in the offseason, plus no cutesy [expletive] like Chatwood or scrapheap critical relievers who can't stay healthy.
  11. My expectations are lowered to the point that I just want them to hold onto the division....and that's about it. Yeah, I know baseball is baseball, but I have no idea how this team as it stands right now would manage to get through to the end of the postseason. They're just too beaten up, and there's no relief coming.
  12. Please, please, please score some runs and win this game.
  13. Come on, don't let the terrible bottom of their lineup beat you. Your team is still in this....finish him.
  14. Damn. Went running and to the gym for the first time in almost 2 weeks because the heat had been so hideous here and managed to kinda forget about the game, and then figured I'd get home to a pleasant surprise, like the Cubs up 6-3 and looking fired up.
  15. Lester is a narrowly avoided disaster so far.
  16. Russell's horsefeathering doomed, but I'm feeling like this is where Bryant breaks out in a big, big way for the rest of the stretch, and then promptly succumbs to Boneitis as soon as the season is over. Harper will sign with the Cubs and transcend to Trout-ian levels in his honor.
  17. I know right? I'm assuming you're talking about the random "choke you out" part lol? Also, choking people out isn't especially satisfying, for what its worth.
  18. AND much like Doc seemingly getting blown away by the terrorists, the Cubs are gonna sit up to reveal they've got a bulletproof vest on and the Brewers will crash into a photobooth and inexplicably just go away.
  19. See, the Cubs before the last series with the Brewers were George at the beginning of the scene, and the Brewers were Biff and the division was Lorrai-aw, this meaphor is gross.
