Man, the Brewers are 5-10 against the Pirates this year. Hopefully that keeps up tomorrow. -
Yeah, someone got me a subscription for Christmas when I was, like, 12, and that a magazine existed that was all about the Cubs blew my horsefeathering mind back then.

He's always going to be the one that got away. I thought it was a reach that the Cubs were thinking that Schwarber was likely to be as good as him, and now it just looks flat out dumb.

It only works when the pressure is on; I tried to kick off the season with MM and it was a disaster.

Everything about Russell makes me want to horsefeathering barf. His ceiling right now is, like, Castro with good defense, and he'd be lucky to even get to that.

Sure would be nice if he was playing for the Cubs instead Yeah, that the Cubs' FO didn't go balls out to get him is going to forever drive me up the wall. That should have been a no-brainer.

The rotation had a resurgence just as the offense went to horsefeathers. Go figure It really feels like nothing has lined up at all this season along those lines. I guess there were a few stretches where the offense and the bullpen seemed to be kicking ass together, but that's about it. It's one hell of a Frankenstein's monster of a 90+ win season.

It's interesting. I always sense you hate Almora the most and I hate Russell the most. I think the big difference is, I didn't have huge expectations for Almora, so him sucking doesn't suck as much as Addison Russell being worse than a good hitting pitcher. Russell absolutely has horsefeathering sucked this year, but we have heard he’s hurt and he has pedigree and has he good seasons already. Javy is the SS next year for sure, but Russell still plays defense at the highest level at the most important spot in baseball and every team needs a bench guy who can play SS. Almora just has never had a lot to fall back on other than hoping he kicks in to some BABIP luck.
