In other words, you have no legitimate response besides backhanded insults and pointless hyperbole. A) Being down 2-1 after 6 innings is not a 100-1 deficit. B) Anyone who feels otherwise, is an idiot. C) You have done nothing but indicate the game is over after a 2-1 lead. Therefore, it is overwhelmingly clear you are in fact an idiot. (fronthanded enough for ya?) namecalling = bad. let's not do it. I don't make up the rules, if the first three things are true, then the 4th must also be true. Can you knock it off? If you can't argue a point without resorting to personal insults, how about you don't bother in the first place? -

I was craving this so much yesterday. Not sure why, haven't had any in a long time. I swear I've seen a giant plastic bucket in the dugout with the logo on it...if I could find a giant bucket of BLC, I'd be very happy.

Yes, but it's also quite myopic to assume this "norm" is destined to be repeated every time. I'm not assuming it's going to happen EVERY time, but so far this season it's safe to say that it's very, very, VERY likely to happen. It's been far more likely the result than the Cubs actually mounting any kind of comeback. Nice inning by Howry.

With this bunch, might as well be 100-1. Well they scored one more, and we scored 2 more. Too bad the score is now 101-3. :roll: :roll: Get over yourself. Tying up this one game doesn't negate all of the other games where they've played like being down 1 or 2 is impossible to come back from. Scoreboard. 4-3. Get over yourself. OH MY GOD!!! WE'RE ACTUALLY ERASING OUR STUPID LOSSES!!!! HOW WRONG I WAS!!! Yeah, single game samples are great. It's why we're scoring 10 runs every game. One game, two games, or ten. It doesn't matter. Being down 2-1, and assuming we're out of it is idiotic. Except that how many games this team has lost when there's a 1 or 2-run margin shows that it's not. This game is by far the exception. Acting like this somehow the norm or indicative of something we've seen reguarly this season is simply wrong. Being down 2-1, and assuming we're out of it is idiotic. Why are you ignoring the very real stat of how many games the Cubs have lost this year not just being down by 2 runs, but specifically only being down by only 1? Why is it idiotic to pay attention that a large of number of posters and analysts have pointed out repeatedly? Acting like this kind of rally is the norm as opposed to a very rare exception so far this season is incredibly myopic.

Actually our offensive numbers on the year are NOT that bad. And compareable to alot of teams. Look it up. We're still not able to stay in the black wins-wise. Our offensive numbers are inflated by the "feast games."

The key is to not embrace mediocrity, but rather complete suckiness. If you don't make the playoffs, you might as well draft 1st. Exactly. Give the new regime something good they hopefully won't destroy like cute little bunny.

Wuertz has his own funk he hopefully can work out of. Even walking in the winning run the other night aside, he's been looking funky lately. I remember going into this season thinking we had potentially 4 decent options for closing. Now we seem to have none. That said, Dempster should still be the one to go out there. He's looked good enough this year to get another shot.
