  1. seriously, and carlos zambrano is one of our pitchers. every team has at least one or two players who showboat; get over it. No kidding. I'm tired of fans and players and managers who get all pissy when a hitter does the most impressive thing in all of baseball and basks in it. I wish they'd go back to the old days where if you showboat after a homerun, you get earholed next time up. It's ridiculous how much the hitters get away with nowadays. This type of seniment is [expletive].

  3. "The death signal?" Here comes Deathman in the Deathmobile.
  4. Worst first post ever?
  5. Sheets hasn't looked good his last couple of starts. His control is still there but he has been very hittable. I think the offense is due to break out of its slump, while the Brewers have been starting to slump offensively except Braun. This is a case of teams possibly going in different directions (at least I hope). Sheets last few starts: 7 IP 4 H 3 R 2 BB 4K 5 IP 9 H 4 R 1 BB 3K 6 IP 5 H 3 R 2 BB 11K 5.2 IP 9 H 1 R 3 BB 6K 7 IP 9 H 5 R 2 BB 7K Hmmmmm, that's much less scary.
  6. Wuertz or Cotts/Guzman/Shark/Guadin/Marshall/Marmol /Wood It shall be. Delicious.
  7. Split at best. Sabathia has just been pure dominance and Sheets has been looking excellent. The Cubs' road woes are scary, especially since they seem to even stink just going across town, much less to "Wrigley Field North," which it no longer is. Are the Brewers clobbering lefties again this year?
  8. *OM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM* http://rewinn.com/p/eatingCrow.jpg I like being wrong on days like this. All of their ridiculous comeback wins have happened when I've had to go to work.
  9. What the hell does this even mean? Just an observation. A few years of .500 and better and a lot of them sound like they're coming off multiple World Series titles. Ridiculous.
  10. Team sucks on the road, offense is all but non-existent, the bullpen is going to be completely taxed unless Lou wises up and just leaves Marquis out there to eat innings since this team has zero chance to come back...this Brewers series has all the makings of a complete disaster that effectively ends the season.
  11. Is there anything Jason Marquis doesn't suck at?
  12. Oh, that's right. That crappy road record all season has just been smoke and mirrors.
  13. This X a trillion.
  14. Manny and Soriano in RF would be sexcellent and hilarious. I dare anyone to try finding something funnier So much tumbling and romping and piggyback rides. We'd all be winners watching that.
  15. Yeah, screw him. He only went 2-for-5 today. What a bum. No, you're right, he's definitely a $12M outfielder. Way to judge him based on four months in his first year in the majors. Hideki Matusi had a .788 OPS in his first year with the Yankees. He hasn't had one under .850 since. Not to mention that he's in the midst of a slump, which every single player in the majors goes through at some point during the season. I have more confidence in Zambrano at that plate than I do him. Although I could say that about most of our lineup at this point. That would be, well, irrational. But that's not really surprising. While Fukudome isn't lighting the world on fire, it's odd people are jumping on him for today like he lost the ballgame all by himself. His last AB was just one of many worthless AB's contributed by the team.
  16. I'm going to eat an entire pizza to celebrate the awesomeness.
  17. Manny and Soriano in RF would be sexcellent and hilarious.
  18. Foolishly, I thought that run in the first inning was the sign of a good ol' Wrigley rout. WHOOPSIES.
  19. Why is that kid wearing a carseat headrest?
