    And you're basing this on...what, exactly? A quick look at his recent posts reveals that indycub thinks our rotation is completely awful. I don't get it. He was also the guy who tried a weird "told ya so" tangent in regards to Castro where he tried to paint things like people didn't like him or weren't a fan of him before he came up.

    When the initial report came out, CSN said that Howry would join the Cubs this weekend in Arlington. This is what I was reacting to. If he signs a minor league deal and heads to Iowa and starts there without affecting the big club right away, then i'm ok with the signing. But CSN saying "he was heading to Texas" didn't sound like that. Eh, even then I'm not too worried. If he keeps performing like he has this year I doubt he'll last long, even with Lou's man-love for him before. If he can and Rothschild can figure something out and get him back to how he was pitching last year it'll be a decent pick up. I mean, ideally I wish they hadn't tried any of these crap heap options before trying more of their in-house options, but as it stands this isn't necessarily something to get worked up over.

    I'm confident. I'm also guessing that we see a pretty crappy lineup. Castro is due for a day off and Soto will no doubt sit with it being a day game after a night game.

    This Yankees/Rays game on ESPN is [expletive] shameless. The Yankees are getting clobbered 10-2 and Berman and Sutcliffe are calling it like a [expletive] funeral, as if this is some brutal, unfair slaughter we should be mourning and jeering the Rays for being so mean to the Yankees. I've been watching for over 20 minutes and basically NO talk of the Rays. They're killing time talking about how great and caring the Yankees are and their visits to Walter Reed hospital and [expletive] like that. It's absurd.

    This could be the time to sell high on Gorzo. Surely if nothing else we could get a less bad reliever than Grabow or Howry for him. There are a lot of teams out there who could use another solid starter, adn even if Silva falls off a cliff, we still have Diamond, Cashner, and Jax all waiting in the wings. Just stop. You're way to eager to either overpay for unavailable relievers or overpay for medicore relievers. You just said yourself they have 3 guys waiting for a turn in the bullpen. Why the [expletive] would you advocating wasting Gorzelanny like that?

Well, there was no real solid timetable with how well the rest of the rotation was doing. If Gorz needs some time off after tonight it suddenly clears things up.
