Sure there was. He's demonstrated a number of excellent, patient AB's already in his short career. I'm not trashing the guy as a player; it was just a very, very bad AB. I know you're not trashing the player but he hasn't had an at bat close to that magnitude. Personally, I don't think it's one that should have that much "magnitude." It's not like he was coming up with any outs. Yeah, the Cubs need that run, but it's not like his back was against the wall when he stepped into the batter's box. He had a ton of room to work with what Contreras was pitching him. I have little doubt he'll take a lot away from this one.
