    I didn't know anything about those small leagues here made up of guys from Latin America who couldn't make it in the bigs or the minors. That would make an amazing 30 for 30 film.

    I liked it. Can't say it was really "Yankee heavy" since the Braves and Giants each got comparable time as well.

    Trading Zambrano is [expletive]. His rebound is meaningless if they want to trade him; with the way the Cubs dealt with him and talked about him during the season they'd still be getting pennies on the dollar for him. All he's done is show, yet again, is that his upside still far outweighs any perceived downside. This idea that if he's not an ace then he's useless is beyond stupid.

    So all it will take to turn erik from an insufferable loser fan to an insufferably arrogant fan is one championship in his lifetime? We might have to possibly re-evaluate our desires for the Cubs to win another WS in the near future. Which erik is more tolerable?

    Girardi would cost too much to convince to come here. Sandberg is a slam dunk. It's great for marketing and the majority of clueless Cubs fans want this. Sandberg's not a slam dunk. He's only a slam dunk if the team is a slam dunk to be good.

    Yeah, Hendry still being here is really my only complaint against the new owners so far. Granted, it's a big one, but beyond that I'm fine with them.

    I really don't see Sandberg being the likely option. The team is too much of a question mark, and his lack of experience could easily turn into an ugly talking point if things go south quickly. I think the Cubs are praying that Girardi makes himself available to them (though I'm not).

    His numbers improved as the year went on and as he got more playing time. That seems to point to a player recovering. You couple that with his past history and that makes him a good bet to be a serviceable player next year if he can be had for the right price. There's little this year that anyone could draw from and make anything resembling a definitive conclusion in regards to how he'll pan out post-surgery, but I'd be willing to bet that certain trends make him a decent gamble if he can be signed on the cheap.

    If he wants that much then trade him. That's ridiculous. I really like Noah and wasn't big on trading him until that report, but if it's true it's no good.

    C.C. Sabathia's RS/9 average is 7.34. The Yankees score an average of over 7 runs a game for C.C. Sabathia. Felix Hernandez gets 3.76. I don't know how FJM selects their articles to bash, but this needs to be one of them Holy [expletive], that is infuriating. Whoever came up with pitching W/L is an [expletive]. What a useless stat.
