I blame you for watching that abortion of a television program. I'm quitting it this year, but yeah... It's worth it just for Kaplan's on-air tantrum over it on CTL last night, and how the rest of the panel responded to him like he was a brat throwing a hissyfit.

More or less, I think they're just catering to the overly pessimistic fans. Regardless of why they're doing it, the bottom line is that most of the members of the sports media here are constantly looking for reasons to complain or rail against the teams here, and that's going to be true in almost any major market. Rah-rah, everything is great bull [expletive] doesn't make money, so this idea that Green Bay is somehow relatively unique because the press around them is "objective" (and they're not) is silly. It's the same there as it is basically everywhere.

All of those guys have trashed Cutler, the receivers, the OL and Lovie and the coaches this year. Granted, less this year than usual, but if you think they're just rah-rah homers you just don't follow them except every once in a while. The stock and trade for a Chicago sports reporter is "what's wrong with this team?" like 95% of the time.
