  1. Seeing as you've had a bunch of people in here talking about how they'd have little problem seeing the Cubs give him 10/$300 million, I have no idea why you think those figures are that much different.
  2. Yeah, I'm now more inclined to think they get something done a la what Griffey signed with the Reds.
  3. Maybe he ate Colvin's leg.
  4. Oh wow, really? See I'm just rooting for him to not be a Cardinal. The idea of him being a Cub seems so ridiculous that I just can't even let myself entertain the notion. Given that he's already won a WS I'm letting myself think sky's the limit with him if he actually goes to FA so long as he gets paid what he wants.
  5. I wouldn't be surprised if Bosh ended up being traded in the next couple of years.
  6. I definitely agree with all of that. I can't really blame him for leaving Cleveland, but the way he did wasn't just a dick move to them; it was a dick move to everyone.
  7. And he's got a really, really, really good chance to win at least one while he's in Miami. And really, is it LeBron's fault that Cleveland constructed such a horrible team around him? If anything, their poor play just makes me understand better and even sympathize with why he wanted out. Didn't they ask him for his thoughts on most of their acquisitions though? They gave him what he wanted to work with basically? At least I thought that was the case. See, I thought it was usually more of an issue of him going "I want this guy or this type of guy" and then them coming back and being like "well, we we couldn't get you the puppy you wanted so we got you this really awesome gerbil instead." Yeah, I'm pretty sure he was wanting Stoudemire, but settled for Jamison, as the one obvious example. I do remember him being very happy about getting Jamison though. Well, comparatively speaking that was an upgrade from most of the dregs they were trotting out there.

And there was no way they could get a decent FA to come to Cleveland the last couple of offseasons without any answers on LeBron staying past 2010. That's ridiculous. I agree that he had plenty of input as to who he wanted, but FA's weren't going to flock away from Cleveland 2-3 years before his contract was up.

He's got a good chance to win a bunch with the Heat, too. They're not going to be always as restricted as they are now.

  12. Don't make us punch you. You and the mouse in your pocket? I don't know what this means, but it's creeping me out.
  13. Don't make us punch you.
  14. GOD [expletive] DAMMIT.
  15. I'm hiding my boner with my backpack.
  16. Wow, that's pretty damn good. Yeah, I'll be very happy if that's true.
  17. Oh God, why haven't they learned their lesson?!? WE NEED MATT BUSH. Last year in A ball, Bush gave up 7 hits, struck out 12 batters and walked just 2 in 8.1 innings IT'S HAPPENING ALL OVER AGAIN. !!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Oh God, why haven't they learned their lesson?!? WE NEED MATT BUSH.
  19. Why were they interested in him? Who knows? Krivsky seemingly pulled his name out of a hat. Not only had Hamilton barely played any baseball in three years, what little he had played was totally unremarkable and he ended up needing surgery on his knee.
  20. It'll never end. It's like people think Hamilton was this hot commodity that the Cubs just whiffed on when basically nobody in baseball was even thinking about him seriously except for the Reds.
