  1. New York's a large enough population to have enough people that hate both the Yankees and Mets to support a 3rd team. I'd be all for moving a couple of the teams already out there. Send one to NYC and another to Vegas. Vegas will need an indoor facility first, but I definitely like the idea. Although Vegas has taken a rather mighty hit with the economy lately. The foreclosure rate there might be higher than anywhere in the country right now. It's probably not the ideal time to consider it there right now. Good point. Once the economy recovers more it's probably the one last major untapped market where a baseball team could do well.
  2. How do you figure? Aramis, yeah, you can make that argument, but Pena really doesn't have to improve all that much to be producing runs from the #3 spot.
  3. MY SON GAVE ME THESE PANTIES, YOU JERK.

  5. erik is, of course, completely [expletive] up the discussions people have had when debates have come up as to where the best hitters should be penciled in in the top half of the lineup. Colvin need not apply.
  6. Yeah, it's sounding more and more like they wanted to dump Mayo but were trying to not get fleeced, and when the Bulls didn't blink Memphis freaked out and tried to work out the deal with the Pacers at the last minute.
  7. Wow. Surprised they turned that down. I'm assuming they were figuring they could force the Bulls' hand into giving them an even better deal. What I heard on the radio made it sound like Memphis wanted a combo of Korver and Bogans/Brewer and the first round picks. It was Houston that was pushing for Asik.
  8. Zambrano has pitched well in the past when the Cubs weren't out of it, when there was pressure, and when people really cared what was going on. Doesn't matter. Too many fans only see him as some kind of bloated psycho who is a much, much worse pitcher than he actually is.
  9. Let's not. The funniest thing is that most of the people who get worked up over Zambrano are the same that go bonkers over players and managers acting like they don't care.
  10. Nobody cares about your damn kids here.
  11. And amazing as the two of them are, I'm thinking this current set up of the Heat just might end up killing Wade and James.
  12. So the Bulls offered Memphis Brewer, 2 1st round picks and a 2nd round pick for Mayo.
  13. I am so [expletive] pumped right now.
  14. Colvin getting the most AB's on the team? Please, I'm begging you, no.
  15. He's just furious that someone is at McDonald's instead of him.
  16. Yeah, this is a team that still has some fine tuning to be done when it comes to playing with all of their major pieces intact.
  17. The idea of Byrd hitting 3rd didn't even pop into my head until it was brought up here and now I'm terrified they'll start the year like that if he has a good spring.
  18. Yeah, based on what few issues have been specifically brought up I too fear "Blake DeWitt: leadoff hitter" being their plan going into the season. Same with Byrd batting ahead of Soto.
  19. Right. Just because they were willing to dump a headache like Mayo to the Pacers for a pretty unremarkable return doesn't mean the price would have been the same to the Bulls. Teams trading guys are going to realize those players are going to be more of a need/necessity for certain teams over others, so the asking price will change accordingly.
  20. Good. Always expect the best.
  21. Still a lottery pick.
  22. Great job GarPax Really? Yes Really. They got him for Josh [expletive] McRoberts and a 1st round pick. Man, you mad.
  23. Great job GarPax Really?
  24. Man, now I'm all confused. I would have figured Taj was much more valuable to the Bulls than Asik. I guess I've just mostly dismissed Asik as a giant Turk long shot.
