  1. John Cusack doesn't have any kids. That was his "friend." John Cusack is a kid toucher.
  2. This is the first game I've been able to watch, but I don't have a problem with Garza attempting the 7th. He's given up his hits, but he hasn't been laboring(no walks or XBH, huge K numbers), and could quite easily finish off the 7th at < 110 pitches. And he did, I was more wary that it was, I think, the heart of their lineup and only a 4-3 game.
  3. Haven't been a fan of Quade's management of his starting pitchers since he took over.
  4. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
  5. Soto's swinging at the right pitches...he's just not doing anything with them yet.
  6. I won't if this Byrd batting #3 [expletive] keeps up. Slide Ramirez, Pena and Soto up a spot and put Byrd 6th and I'd be happy. Yup.
  7. I won't if this Byrd batting #3 [expletive] keeps up. I agree not looking good at all from the 3 hole. Swinging at everything. Well, that's typically his approach no matter where he hits. He just doesn't have the talent to hit there.
  8. I won't if this Byrd batting #3 [expletive] keeps up.
  9. Darwin more effective today hitting a sac fly than Soto and Soriano. Gross.
  10. I'd like to think the fan with the beer just did an amazing job selling an intentional drenching.
  11. Sooooo [expletive] close. If it had stayed warm then the Cubs' 1st HR would have been a GS. Bah. Come on, Geo. You're just missing these things.
  12. I take it he did almost nothing from Lasers? That album hurts.
  13. There's a really awesome new hot dog place near my place across the street from Lincoln Park HS. http://www.yelp.com/biz/hotdogeria-chicago
  14. Because a good amount of the time that would've resulted in a hit and it eventually might actually get teams to stop using that ridiculous shift? Hasn't stopped them so far, so I'm not sure why they'd stop now. Just hit the [expletive] ball.
  15. To keep the shift honest. It took a flawless play to beat him by half a step. Still gives me the heeby-jeebies.
  16. Whhhhhhhyyyyyyyyyyyy was Pena bunting? I hope it was worth it, davearm.
  17. Oh. I don't hate rap. However, I might have to hate Lupe Fiasco if he sounds anything like this clown who just did the National Anthem. Maybe the guy should have rapped both songs. He's less cliche than most mainstream rappers. My roommate loves him. I take it that means he talks about bitches in the club 50% less or something? Yes. Most recent album aside, Lupe Fiasco is amazing; you all suck.
  18. Granted, I don't have kids, but I'm kind of surprised at the people here saying that that it would be the child's choice. Isn't the point of being a parent sort of making your kid's choices for them? I mean, wouldn't this choice come up when they're still grade school or middle school?
  19. Not according to the White Sox fans I hear on the radio. Granted, it's not all of them, but there's a running trend of "THE SOX NEED TO GIVE UP ON BECKHAM AND MOVE ON" because of last year. Baseball fans: what won't they irrationally hate?
  20. [expletive] yeah. erik, you cannot defend this.
  21. I still think they were told to attack Maholm early in the count today, at least in their first ABs. And it worked because they were smoking the ball...just at the Pirates. They worked the count fairly well on Opening Day. Right. Maholm was serving those pitches up and it would have been foolish to not take swings at them.
