That drives me absolutely bonkers. I'm not making any sort of scientific claims here, but it seems like the Cubs do it far more often than it should happen. Then don't make the claim. I don't know if stats are even kept on that sort of thing, but I'd like to see where all MLB teams rank in terms of giving up runs in the next AB after scoring them. I'd be curious myself if anyone tracks such a thing. -

Soriano after 2 strikes this year: .250 .308 .500 .808 [expletive] DeWitt. small sample size Just sayin'. He hasn't been an "auto-k" with 2 strikes this year.
-
Soriano and Soto.

Damn.
-
Damn, Sori got the shaft on strike 2.
-
Wow, lucky break. Let's see if Soriano can keep being Mr. Clutch at the plate.
-
Alright, Tyler...hero time.
-
Oh GOD. That slider was begging for Aramis to murder it.
-
Pretty impressive. He laid out to snag it and still managed to pull off a good, quick throw to 2nd.
-
Ugh. Robbed again.
-
Kosuke on base 3 out of 4 times today with that single. Damn you, Chris Young.

There are so many bullpens loaded with more than 3 very good relievers. I cry every night over our horrible situation. Man, that home run is especially unfortunate now since Grabow looked amazing the other three AB. Hell, outside of that HR he's been really, really good in his 3 appearances so far this season.
-
Grabow's pitching.
-
What the [expletive], Grabow. You go from striking a guy out to that on the very next pitch?
-
Rose showed up "right after Jordan?" Might want to double check that math, Stacey.
-
That's not so horrifying.
-
Yeah, offensively they've looked pretty damn good (going in to today). 3rd in the NL in BA, OBP, OPS and 2nd in slugging. 2nd in doubles and 6th in RBI.
-
It would be nice if our bats got going a bit. It's not like we are facing the Phillies and Giants pitching staffs. We should be punishing people named Saunders and Gallaraga. Just FYI, going in to today the Cubs had the most hits in the NL (tied for the 3rd most runs).
-
Nothing? They're being very patient, putting up a number of deep counts, have scored 2 runs on only 3 hits and have had 3 hits robbed singlehandedly by Chris Young.
-
Well, this is just grand.
-
Castro whyyyyyy did you throw home?
-
I hate Chris Young so very much.
