  1. No one is saying they're the '96 Bulls. I and others are saying that the two teams that met in last year's ECF are not different enough to reasonably expect a different outcome. And what most here are saying is that the two teams are close enough and there ARE enough differing variables that last year's outcome is by no means a sure thing. Would it be surprising if the Heat won? Of course not; but it also wouldn't be an upset if the Bulls did.
  2. Nope, no chance; everything will play out exactly the same.
  3. That is the one thing that swings the percentages...from 0% to something? Ask yourself how last years team fared. Then ask yourself what has changed from last seasons team to this seasons team. When you answer the question, you then form a logical opinion. A 0% chance of the Bulls beating the Heat is not logical at all.

  5. I, of course, think the Bulls have a chance of beating the Heat in a 7-game series. I'd be foolish not to.
  6. Yeah, there's plenty of research to be done, but some people go pretty hilariously overboard in propping up weed as some kind of miracle drug.
  7. For the record, which line of thought do you subscribe to? The Bulls have a great chance of beating the Heat? Or the Bulls have a slim chance of beating the Heat? I've said they have no chance of beating the Heat in a 7 game series as currently constructed. At the very least, you have to respect that I've made my pick and I'll stand by it. No, because to say right now they have absolutely no chance to beat another team in a 7 game series is absurd.
  8. Oh, and the 42-13 team with the best record in basketball isn't "on a roll," whatever that means.
  9. Ugh. Hysterical arbage like insisting they're "completely doomed" is why nobody takes you seriously. There's also nobody here who wouldn't want to see the Bulls make improvements next season. Just stop acting like a spaz and insisting they have zero chance to beat either the Heat or the Thunder.
  10. Right. His declaration was that they were doomed because they didn't have a fallback plan to make them as good as a Bulls team with Rose if Rose went down. His theory also hinged on them not being able to score and not being "athletic." It was meatball-ery at its worst. Nobody is here is saying the Bulls are a perfect team, aren't flawed, and couldn't be better. People are taking issue with his usual histrionics. I mean, at least there's some truth in advertising in that ridiculous sig he has.
  11. We're not talking about numbers. We're talking about things like this: Why on Earth would you think for a second anyone here is arguing that the Bulls have a real shot at doing anything in the playoffs without both Rose and Hamilton? That's a strawman that's equal parts moronic and crazy.
  12. What? No. And yes, we're calling you crazy, because you post like a furious lunatic. You're the cynosure of the Bulls and Bears threads.
  13. what? no. the bullpen is where you learn to throw as hard as you can every pitch since you're only going to be out there for an inning. YOU SOUND AFRAID.
  14. There's plenty of room to be willing for the Cubs to spend big on a free agent, and also be critical of the mid-market Reds for signing Votto to market value through age 40 when he's still 2 years from free agency. Their payroll isn't inflexible.
  15. It's like some people are expecting another team to inexplicably fire the next David Ortiz for the Cubs to swoop in on, but no way in hell should they also go out and spend money on a Manny Ramirez.
  16. If your kids want to try marijuana they will have absolutely no problem finding an opportunity to do so. Whether it's illegal or not is completely irrelevant. Decreased the percentage of alcoholics and the number of alcohol-related fatalities. Ugh, I took the bait. This guy be trollin'.
  17. That you think the Bulls can't score without Rose and that you actually think saying they lack "athleticism" like that's a thing is pretty ridiculous. That you think everyone is going to be saying you were right is even more ridiculous.
  18. [expletive], I thought next year was the team option.
  19. Right on, my man! High five!
  20. Ooooh, maybe he's saying you're a gay. That's a good one.
