Hah! Great point; it's not like the guy gave anything away except that they won. What, would someone actually prefer if they got home and got to witness a terrible loss without any spoilers?

You couldn't know what happened? Is this 1979? Who wants to watch their favorite team play via Gamecast? Far more people are going to try and find out the score via live updates than are going to try and avoid all news until they can watch a replay. Eh, not me. I've got multiple friends who turn their phones off and wait to get home. Wearing the Bears gear was a bad idea, I agree. Yeah, I'm not saying NOBODY records it, but you'd think someone who did would do everything they could to keep someone from talking about it. Wearing a team's gear is basically an invitation for someone to bring it up.

Why did he "have to know" that? If he "has to know" anything it's that in today's world it's easier than ever to check scores and keep track of a game and assume that's what most people do. If anything it's more realistic for you to ask your wife to not wear anything that's going to encourage someone to talk about the game.

Wait, what? You don't want them to go into next season expecting to lose, but you also want them to trade Soriano, DeJesus, Barney and Wood? Those guys aren't getting you good MLB-ready prospects in return. -
Actually, it makes plenty of sense if they can't get a decent return regardless of how much of his salary they pick up.
