  1. Just put Gregg in; Rizzo is ending this in the 9th.
  2. Yes, it's not Bourbon's fault for not following a well-known rule or anything.
  3. I just might be OK with Russell intentionally walking Beltran and Holliday and then facing Craig just so whatever bullpen abomination comes out in the 8th gets to miss them.
  4. Dammit, Castro is really making me sad right now.
  5. That was an enjoyable inning. Now shut 'em down, 'stache.
  6. Just to clarify, I meant "people being annoyed with Rose" when I said "this."
  7. I've never been more insulted by anything in my entire life.
  8. DON'T MAKE THEM STOP.
  9. How the [expletive] is this possibly racist.
  10. Looks like this is what Nuts&Gum witnessed Sunday. Very sad. [expletive], that's crazy. Sad news.
  11. I definitely remember his other issues coming up, but I glossed over the PF if it it was discussed. I might have just assumed it wouldn't be as big an issue with a baseball player.
  12. It's a song they sing after winning games, so I'm not sure why people hate it so much. It's a really cheesy song, so I guess it's that. It's just always been there for me; 1984 was the first year I was a fan and it was a semi-big deal then, plus my parents bought me the damn thing and being a little kid I played it until everyone's ears bled. It's burned into my brain whether I like it or not. It was a thing in 1984?! I don't think that's right It was played on the radio when I was a kid, and then came back as a thing after the games more recently. I don't have any memory of it being played at the games back then, but I rarely went as a kid. It was basically just that year, largely because Steve Goodman died then, too. It then mostly went away for the most part until the 2000's.
  13. Last year, I think It's been a lot longer than that. I'd guess a minimum of 4 years. It never forced him to miss any time while he was with the Cards, and I don't think it was as bad as it's been lately, but it was something that was talked about pretty regularly. ETA: According to Wikipedia, he was first diagnosed in the second half of the 2004 season. Wow, I completely missed that. I knew of his other health issues, but was completely blanked on that when I, like TT, was big on signing him.
  14. Last year, I think Yeah, then they're proper fucked. That's tough.
  15. When did that first crop up with Pujols?
  16. Villanueva's mustache. And Rizzo against lefties.
  17. Holy [expletive], did not expect a a Harry Craddock reference...well, ever.
  18. Plantar fasciitis is the devil.
