  1. FINISH THEM, RIZZO. Finish them and we will supply you with wenches to ply you with meats and scented oils.
  2. Big time. Though at least Feldman had another nice start.
  3. Gee, I wonder if they'll be no-hit today. No, of course not. That would be silly.
  4. Alright, my dad is actually at this game as part of his birthday celebration; he's probably going insane. That said, nearly every pitch they've taken has been a strike. [expletive] this guy.
  5. Time for a change... http://www.paulduane.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/DEVIL-HORNS.png_thumb.jpg
  6. The guy was throwing strikes; it's not like you just take pitches to take pitches if the guy is putting them in the zone. Plus it's the top of the first, so it's not like they had to give Feldman a break or anything. Yes you do, sometimes. You don't just swing at any first pitch strike. That's not a good approach. What? Of course you can swing at a first pitch strike if you think you have something to hit. Yeah, I didn't say you can't. The problem is some (lots - historically) of our players think they have something to hit way too often. Which creates this self-fulling prophecy-mentality that seems to assume that swinging early = automatically bad and taking pitches = automatically good. If the first pitch is there and you think you can hit it, great, take a shot. Taking it just to take it isn't always the right choice. My dad has become pitch count-obsessed lately and he's even bothered if the Cubs have a GOOD inning and they don't make the opposing pitcher throw more than 20 pitches (and at least 15). It's pretty amusing.

  10. Feldman is the only one they need to try and move. This is a terrible idea. (Nobody's arguing with him; we're just enjoying him trying to explain himself)
  11. To me it came off as him saying hockey is a trashy sport, and my point was that given the fans have the highest average income it might be hard to make that case. It was just a goofy exaggeration to say; also known as hyperbole. I was originally going to go say "live in the zoo," but rats seemed funnier. I had no idea hockey fans were concerned about such things.
  12. NHL fans have the highest average income among fans of the big 4 sports, by a good amount. Rich scumbags loving their crappy sport for jerks...and?
  13. Damn right; those hockey animals get to go live with the rats.
  14. I'm not watching, but my guess is you saw Valbuena, who's going for an X-Ray on his thumb after his slide into 3rd. [expletive]. Aggressive baserunning = bad.
  15. Really, really, really, REALLY hate aggressive baserunning.
  16. What? No. Either way, I thought it was going to be a triple off the bat. That's odd. I kind of did at first since the right fielder was playing so far off the line. but, he got to the ball really quick. Didn't seem like much of a shot to me; and as fast as he got to the ball the 3B coach should know a LOT better.
