Bears Offseason Thread (Trestman new HC, pg 37)
Sammy Sofa replied to CaliforniaRaisin's topic in Other Sports
Bears aren't tanking the season, so there's no reason to go out of their way to appease the meatballs. Though it might happen if they get off to a wretched start or if Cutler goes down with an injury. -
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuudge.

I'll take it; thanks, Castro. Hero time, Rizzo. Give Starlin Fan a heart attack.
-
Great night for Darwin.
-
Pretty good; touched 92-93 seemingly pretty regularly, had decent movement/command and managed the inside of the plate pretty well. Ran into some full counts more than you'd like, but struck out (I think) 6 and took a no-no into the 5th. All in all he looked good, plus he hit a 2-RBI double.

See, this is when average would be great.
-
The bullpen may be rested, Len, but it is NOT stocked.
-
Our rotation has been so awesome, too bad the bullpen, defense and most of the offense has been average-awful Seems weird to lump average and awful together like that. the bulpen has been awful, the defense has been average and the offense has been mostly awful But it's like you were talking about average like it's a bad thing.

Minor League Discussion & Boxes 5-19-13
Sammy Sofa replied to CaliforniaRaisin's topic in Cubs Minor League Talk
Yes, it's the horrible sound the dolphins in The Cove made as they were being savagely beaten and hacked to death. -
If you're looking for someone with PH HR success recently then Navarro is your guy. "Recently" is pretty relative. Plus, he has like 5 other hits all year. His offensive line as a sub was this going into today: .500 .545 1.100 1.645

I'm really not sweating using either him or an incredibly flawed hitter against a really good pitcher in Soriano in that spot.

Most Cubs fans still think this team is hopelessly awful and doomed to lose 100 games again. It was packed when I was there yesterday.

AND THERE IT GOES.... ONLY THE COBS On the upside hockey seems to draw away the meatballs... On the downside they're not here to taste the sarcasm.

Man, have the Blackhawks lost yet? This thread is boring.

Probably.
