  1. That and that whoever is playing in if the OF is usually dog [expletive].
  2. You'd inject heroin into your forehead too if you just found out Johnny Manziel was throwing to you Yeah the guy who threw 7,820 yards at a 68.9% completion rate. What a bum. their previous starter threw 9,260 yards at a 69.5% completion rate http://replygif.net/i/1123.gif
  3. He won't escape it when he makes it to Chicago. No doubt, I thought that too. But it's as though these particular fans don't understand the purpose of the Iowa Cubs. This is true; you'd think people that actually went to minor league baseball games would have a better grasp of the purpose. That said, I really do dread when guys like him and Bryant show up and if they have prolonged struggles.
  4. He won't escape it when he makes it to Chicago.
  5. Thank goodness they won't be wasting too many cheap productive years from these two! Jeepers!
  6. So we have a 21 year old kid who's had attitude issues in the past, and now he's being heckled by hillbillies during what I can only assume has been the roughest patch of his baseball career. I just hope it doesn't escalate into a prospect goes ape [expletive] situations. Shocker that dumb things like this happen when your organization puts not just the expectation, but the NECESSITY of you being amazing or else it's a huge catastrophe on a kid's shoulders.
  7. It sure does sound like 2019 now, and it's going to drive me bat [expletive] crazy waiting that long to behave like a big market team. I would wait until we hear about this slate of WGN games before coming to that conclusion. I still think the big Fox deal with the local bridge makes the most sense. The fact that we haven't heard a word about it in the past 4 months is mildly disconcerting We don't even have the radio deal in place that was supposed to be announced prior to Opening Day. The large Fox deal? The conjuring of an active imagination from someone who hasn't been right nearly enough to take seriously at this point. Yeah, given how impressively the Ricketts have seemingly fucked up every single part of the rebuild outside of the farm system I have little faith that they're going to get maximum value from any kind of placeholder deal. These desperate idiots are going to get locked into another terrible contract.
  8. Holy [expletive], they're 12-24. This is a [expletive] debacle.

  10. Of refreshing air from all of the swinging strikeouts. http://replygif.net/i/663.gif
  11. Punter aside, I'm digging this draft.
  12. Forbes talking about sports is the blurst Do they think he's 42?
  13. Olt's hilarious stats over the last week: .357 .500 1.000
  14. Hawks fans still do Chelsea Dagger....hard to complain about other teams fans too much ;) http://replygif.net/i/1364.gif
  15. pro tip (at least this has been the case for me) i actually hit for more power with the regular swing in the show. at least in last year's version. Yeah, I completely agree. I don't think I've ever actually hit a ball for power with the power swing.
  16. Oh, hey, Junior Lake struck out. He straight up looks like how I take every PA in every baseball video game ever. Especially if there's a power swing button.
  17. Really liking what the Bears are doing.
  18. hold on, i'm trying to think who the cubs outfielders are. Joey Joe Joe Shabadoo.
  19. NFL draft is the independent variable there, not winning or losing. I am not an NFL guy, so I may be missing something...but why do people love to watch the draft? We were able to watch the game and switch over between innings and catch all that was actually happening. Cannot imagine listening to Boomer, Lewis, Gruden and Kiper blather could be that insightful. Meatballs gotta meatball.
  20. I think I made God cry with the [expletive] I just screamed.
  21. what was he saying? The Hawk endorsement is just brutal; next up photos will be leaked of him in hockey gear and you'll brush that off, too!
  22. You cannot make "need" that important in a draft. So, drafting someone that is, what, 3 picks higher on your big board is reaching for need? Unless they had Pryor and/or Clinton Dix rated in the 20s, I would have thought that taking one of them would be worth "reaching" a few spots for. That, or trying to trade down, which they seemingly had no interest in given the speed of which they turned in the pick. Again, not that Fuller isn't a very good prospect who will probably play at least 50% of the time this year and 100% of the time when healthy starting next season. It's the cost benefit they seemingly ignored where they could have gone 1st round Safety and 2nd round corner. Now, there really aren't any safeties who profile the 2nd round and maybe 1 or 2 that profile to be there in the 3rd round, assuming no other teams draft them before the Bears. I'm all for sustaining long term success and this pick has a chance to do this, but most of the core of this team isn't getting any younger (Jay, Forte, Marshall) and when you've made the playoffs 1 time in 5 years, "reaching" a few spots to fill one of the biggest needs on any roster in the NFL would have been prudent IMO. Wait, I thought you were talking about safety.
