  1. My mom is in town, so she had my tickets and somehow miraculously talked HER mom into going to the game with her. My grandmother doesn't come into the city AND she gave up being a Cubs fans and annoyingly switched to the Sox a good 20 years ago, but for whatever reason she finally agreed to go today. I think tinyface's walkoff singlehandedly brought her back.
  2. I'd be getting a ton of enjoyment out of their home run statue thing.
  3. Ultimate Marlins Fan. It all makes sense now.
  4. Sure would be awesome to seem them in the playoffs!!! Hahahahahahaah!
  5. If you need to feel grounded we still have the worst record in the NL But the Rays have the worst record in the majors. Such a weird year Everyone is jealous of the Cubs' consistency.
  6. I liked baseball better then. I hate admitting that.... Actually I liked the era between the steroid area and this current dead ball era, where not everyone was doping, but some guys still were. Less guilt enjoying that product.
  7. Also the White Sox are a bit over .500. Please tell me the Yankees, Dodgers and Red Sox are all battling for last place. Red Sox had a 10-game losing streak, but they aren't in last because now Tampa Bay is on a 10-game loser of their own. Yankees and Dodgers are both a game over .500. The Blue Jays and Orioles are battling for first place? Madness.

  9. Good God, has he ever taken a photo that wasn't punchable?
  10. The Brewers are STILL in first place?!? [expletive] this stupid organization.
  11. Great moment; everyone should remember that's how you deal with a charging old man who doesn't know his place.
  12. Baseball has apparently gone crazy in the year that I all but stopped following it. I'm afraid to look at the standings. Are the Marlins in first place?
  13. If the Royals can hold the lead on St. Louis, we'll end the day 6.5 out of the playoffs. Just sayin' How is that even possible? Seriously, [expletive] numbers. They have completely broken me.
  14. This is the best analysis I've seen today. I too like fat dongs.
  15. Much like Sparky Anderson, I assumed Zimmer was pushing 100 a good 25 years before he actually passed away.
  16. Why is the crime so bad? Predators of the tourists? I thought the area was gentrified? Why aren't the Yuppies screaming? Over 100 fewer available police in the area than last year. The active fostering of a "who gives a [expletive]" attitude with the bars and not bothering to crack down on overcrowding and overserving. The local clubs and shelters that are severely underfunded and understaffed (and because of the fewer police, no police backup) that kick troubled kids out after any sign of trouble or overcrowding and then they just hang around indefinitely. It's an area with a lot of money and a lot of dumb people and a lot of people willing to prey on that and not nearly enough police to monitor it.
  17. Uh, is that Miley Cyrus as your avatar?
  18. Phantom bullets flying across from Wrigley: http://crimeinboystown.blogspot.com/2014/06/abracadabra-crime-stats-wont-include.html The murdered Cubs fan who the police refuse to say was murdered: http://crimeinboystown.blogspot.com/2014/06/jacob-klepacz-case-long-wait-for-science.html Rahm's shell game continues as the neighborhood around Wrigley continues to spiral out of control.
