  1. Vogelbach is purposefully being treated as a trade chip that's a cut below, no? And while he's not some trump card, he's also got an OPS 90 points above the league average, so he's not tanking at Daytona either. Yeah I mean high WOBA guys that flash advanced approaches with plus power just grow on trees and most front offices don't pay attention to peripherals at all. "Flash" is probably the key word in this; his inability to consistently hit at the levels hoped of coupled with the defensive issues make him more of an add-on than a centerpiece in a deal. A decent add-on, sure, but you're not centering a major deal around him. Oh, I never implied him as a centerpiece. Then what's your issue with what people are saying? abuck only objected to the idea of a trade centered around him.

  3. These new guys are pretty great.
  4. And yet Vitters isn't our style. "Oh, you don't like this diarrhea sandwich? Here, try this poop enchilada instead."
  5. That's how it felt being at the clincher in 2008. Nobody wanted to leave and the players were living it up and it seemed like nothing was gonna stop them.
  6. Tangled Up in Plaid's sigs lately are always quoting something called "DRUNKHULK."
  7. What the [expletive] is DRUNKHULK?
  8. The mods should be insulted every time somebody whines about that. They always update the thread title when actual news breaks.
  9. I still don't think that one belongs in this category. I didn't mistake one for the other. I knew the Cubs had two first-round supplemental pitchers and their profiles, but I said I couldn't remember which name was which type of guy. http://www.screeninsults.com/images/saturday-night-live-star-trek-parody-trekkies.JPG
  10. Oh God, Wrigley is like the thing you DON'T want to show him.

  12. "Javi" sounds like some racist-ass ethnic stereotype sidekick from back in the day.

  15. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!
  16. Why not? Given his track record there's a really good chance it's ugly tomorrow, too. Get in as many as quickly as possible, dammit.
  17. Yeah, he had two sliders he was almost zeroed in on and that fly out was nicely struck. Could be a lot worse, especially given that we're expecting growing pains.
