    Ricketts sucks, but it's not a witch hunt when it's just reporting on something that countless business are doing because they are run by scum bog bastards.

    It's difficult to watch and not be down on the kid. It was a lot easier staying level headed when you read about his bad starts in the minor league forum Weird. It's much easier to take for me when I'm seeing all the loud contact and massive HRs in between. I'm really not disappointed at all. Yup.

    I can understand the "feeling" of being targeted...UMFan pointed out all the rule changes that have impacted the Cubs long term plans, but I'm sure that's just an immediate reactionary thing. Sure, it "feels" like a lot of the stuff they've gone through in the last few years has been very "only the Cubs;" it's just surprising to see something like this so close to being an official comment.

    Whoops. I thought Wood's good year was two years ago. But apparently even that would have been Bosio, who I thought was hired for this season. Clearly I've been paying a lot of attention.

    He's not going to. He's been very honest and blunt to the media about his poor performance all season (he actually sounds like a really good guy, FYI). This was tonight: Well, that's good to see. If in the same position, I would probably have a defeatist attitude. It's got to be tough on him to be going through this; it's not like he wants to suck. Man, looking at the guy's reactions in his start and he knows how bad he's been. Every time I start getting mad at him they show a shot of him looking like Charlie Brown up there. I keep expecting the next one to just show him laying dazed on the mound with all of his clothes exploded off of him.

    He was facing Dickey, so maybe he felt that was the best stance to go with the see the knuckleball the best? Ahh, suppose that makes sense. That's all kinds of awesome.
