  2. Time to go back to the comforting bosom of The Simpsons.
  3. Oh, come on. It's not really a shot at him, more of a fact considering he hasn't played a full season since 2009 The concussion thing has been the only recurring issue (ad that's not to knock it as something minor); the groin and especially the thumb were pretty fluke-y. With the improvements to the line I wouldn't personally just assume he's going to miss time.

  5. Man, the D is...turd-ly.
  6. Yeah, I was marveling at the time Jay was getting.
  7. Jay is ballin' today.
  8. Oh, Alshon. You gotta snatch that.
  9. This offense makes me feel all funny.
  10. Damn, this is the one I don't have tickets to. Nasty pitching match-ups this series.
  11. Probably true, but Soler's leg will probably fall off. http://i.imgur.com/zD3eR.gif
  12. He's just a pup; someone with a nickname like "Al Contra" will succeed.
  13. Whoa. Are you doing OK?
  14. Because manpower had nothing to do with the inability to keep the field dry. Didn't the field end up soaked because of the screw-ups and the tarps not being put out properly and in time? Doesn't seem a stretch to say that that occurred due to being shortstaffed. You also have businesses having less time to train new people properly because of situations like this.
  15. I'm not saying where the discussion should take place; if you want to move it to the politics thread, fine, nobody is going to complain. I agree, the timing of the article is a stretch since it's further blowing up something that could have happened even if they were still operating at previous levels, but ultimately it IS something that the owners of the team decided to do that will and has impacted the organization and the news of it was just brought to our attention.
  16. He's making the association that the reason for the mishap with the tarp on Monday is directly related to that hours thing, and outright implies it would have been avoided had those offseason changes not happened. That's extremely questionable at best and outright nonsense at worst. 'Witch hunt' implies a pattern, and while Wittenmyer loves trying to call out ownership I wouldn't use that term, but that article was pretty much garbage. I disagree; most people here are probably dealing with firsthand (or have at least witnessed) how cuts like that have impacted workforces. Yes, saying that Tarpgate happened specifically because of it is stretching, but most of the article is about the bigger issue of how the staff has been impacted all season long by these changes, and yes, it likely is impacted how the place is maintained.
  17. I saw it right in front of me. Touch my eyeballs and you can still feel the heat.
  18. Nobody called the Ricketts out for being conservative.
  19. What are you talking about?
  20. Does anyone actually like those lazy-eyed monsters?
  21. This has been a fun game to be at. Now that I have seen Javy homer in person I can die, but I hope I don't.
