    6.57 ERA this year in 24 IP with the Padres 6.11 ERA in 17 IP with AAA El Paso this year Last year his numbers looked a lot better in the majors and minors so hopefully its a mental thing and the Cubs can get him on track. The Cubs used to have a good track record of finding these guys and fixing them into something useful. 12HR allowed in his 42 combined innings of work this year. Got to find a way to cut that down, but the K numbers are still good. Dude is massive. BR lists him at 6’9”. Maybe they just traded for this monster for backup after seeing that Pirates/Reds brawl.

    Much as the galaxy-brained solution to the Cubs being better is that Kris Bryant simply needs to decide to make fewer outs, the easy answer to these trade woes is for Theo and co. to decide to get better at making baseball guys. D'UH.
