    I had some hot fries the 06 cubs bring up many cries for the front office to be butchered for their many...lies? oh how low we have sunk you may as well lock us in a trunk we have nothing to post about this year for the cubs have seriously stunk happy?

    petition to ban fat jokes. Doesn't it actually have to be funny in order to be classified as a "joke"? the previous 50000 weren't funny either. from one user or in general? if it's from one user, I'd say the...*checks*...last 742 weren't very good :wink:

    On being just the worst, least tolerable, horrible, awful announcer, it has to be McCarver for me. He is so abysmal at his job. I thought the Family Guy bit on him was perfect.

    The Cubs have dominated opening day for the last few years if I'm not mistaken. I think it's double digit runs on opening day each of the last 4 years or something like that.

    All games in Toronto start at :07 or :37. I can't remember why though.

    it's not baseball's problem if he beats his wife, it's the law's problem. His team could've supsended him, but they're going to think team first and they are vying for a playoff spot. He took a start or two off if I recall anyways to collect his thoughts or whatever.

    Probably in the C range by OBP/SLG alone, but with his great steal success rate and totals, I'd bump him up to a high C or low B. I think he's going to improve a bit on this year and be a 800 OPS guy with great speed and defense in his prime, which isn't terrific, but it's definitely serviceable.

    I can't imagine what it must be like to be Evan Longoria. I read Eva as Evan and was quite confused as to why you'd want to take home the DRays prospect.

    He doesn't qualify. Here's a thought. Hire a personal trainer like the one Carlton got in Fresh Prince of Bel Air. If Prior does the Carlton dance, I'll forgive him for all of his injuries and how befuddling it has been to watch him.

    see, you could have misspelled believe and then played drunk! I'd rather see him get ABs in the minors and we grandfather him in. If Ramirez doesn't opt out, it's still 3 years. You could bring him up in another year to spell ARam once in a while and be a bat off the bench the rest of the time, then when Rammy's contract is up, Moore is in. However, if we re-negotiate with Ramirez and sign him long-term, just bring him up to be the bat off the bench and such.

    To each their own I guess. I despise violence against women. Personal Issue to be honest. There is no exuse for his actions. He deserves whatever he gets, so I have no problem labeling him a "wife beater". So you have something against fat people as well then? he's the fat guy killer from family guy.

    I disagree. For me, this season has crawled since hockey ended in June. Watching the rookies (Hill, Marshall, Guzman, Marmol) pitch is one thing to watch. And Z! is always easy to watch.

    Yes, I took the wife for a night on the town, dinner and movie. We laughed out loud on many occasions. She mentioned that at one time or another I had passed through most of the life stages portrayed in the movie. I would suggest you see it, but I'd leave the kids at home. Why? Is the language in it pretty bad? yeah. it's probably pg-13 content-wise, but the language is R.
