  4. That was a fun mantra earlier in the year when we were still winning games.
  5. I definately didn't like it when he said "horses" either but didn't mind the injury part too much. Not great, but not horrible. well, i don't mind horses so much. it's just become such a joke because dusty's "horses" are guys like freddie bynum and neifi perez.
  6. Coors field isn't near as much of a hitter's park as it once was. Humidor.
  7. SLG with the Cubs (362 PAs): 390 SLG with the Padres (21 PAs): 350
  8. You were going so well until that last one.
  9. I have a feeling that Carlos is going to do something special in this game.
  10. You're right. They're so much better than everyone else that this should just be a battle for 2nd best. 8)
  11. Just ask him what thoughts go into assembling the lineup. That *should* tell you what you need to know about him without trying to pry too much.
  12. We need to get back to the more familiar hogwash and poppycock. balderdash
  13. A bold claim, le tigre. certainly not a bad one. similar RC/G before this year when Soriano shot through the roof.
  14. Low-income housing=Rampant Cub Hating firearm having thugs who fire guns wildly Seriously, Wrigley did a good job with the lights. They've preserved the "feel" of the stadium over the years. They have, yeah. I went to a Sox game last year, coming out at night, I thought gunshots were going wild. Turns out, it was the bucket boys being obnoxious YOU at a SOX game?! YOU SUPPORTED THEIR WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP  fix...err...FIXED
  15. The nightgame I went to earlier this year was a blast. Don't know why, but I just enjoyed it more than the day game I went to.
  16. Make that 9.5 That font size is really annoying. I mean really. I am SO tired of copying and pasting just to read a post. I just zoom in on my screen.
  17. Jermaine Dye: July 25, 2001: Traded by the Kansas City Royals to the Colorado Rockies for Neifi Perez. July 25, 2001: Traded by the Colorado Rockies to the Oakland Athletics for Todd Belitz, Mario Encarnacion, and Jose Ortiz. Johnny Damon: Traded as part of a 3-team trade by the Kansas City Royals with Mark Ellis to the Oakland Athletics. The Oakland Athletics sent Ben Grieve to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. The Oakland Athletics sent Angel Berroa and A.J. Hinch to the Kansas City Royals. The Tampa Bay Devil Rays sent Cory Lidle to the Oakland Athletics. The Tampa Bay Devil Rays sent Roberto Hernandez to the Kansas City Royals.
  18. I won't say it as an "official" thing, but it seems like he's much more ocmfortable. I just worry about him being like Mitre was last year for his solid 2-start stretch. Then again, Mitre wasn't nearly as dominant as Hill at AAA.
  19. Funny because I think The Who shatters the Rolling Stones talent-wise, but did some wishy-washy stuff (concept albums, a lot of copying the Beatles) that doesn't really appeal to the public. I love them, they're my favorite, band, and I'm definitely biased.
  20. Dodgers definitely. I don't like the Padres players (Greene, Piazza, Cameron mostly). The Dodgers -- outside of Jeff Kent -- are all very easy for me to like. Plus, Vin Scully. Anyways, I thought it was pretty funny that Todd Walker and Mark Bellhorn each made great plays at 3B yesterday.
  21. Well, it's actually a combination of the fact you used batting average AND the fact that you're actually arguing that Pierre would be a better lead-off hitter at this point. If you're going to argue that point, say that Pierre will improve because he's younger and the last two years are fluky or say that Roberts is ancient, but don't use batting average. And really, don't question anyone else's opinion? Are you kidding?
