    Not sure, but I know Jon Heyman is not a fan of such stats. IIRC he recently bashed VORP. he bashed runs created. he would much rather see wins created.

    he's only had one start against us and he was pretty mediocre. 3 R (2 earned) in 6.2 IP isn't amazing. and he's lost a lot of games for them. we should've done more against him that one start though. 8 H and 3 BB. story of the season i guess.

    No he doesnt OK, then tell me what is his problem he looks terrible. A rest may give hiom some mental relief as well as physical. He has the highest pitch count on the team. he looked terrible at the beginning of the season too and i doubt it was because he needed a rest. he's just a terribly inconsistent pitcher.

    Kip Wells has been terrible this year, how could any Cub fan hate him? Looper is understandable since he had zero career ML (professional?) starts and suddenly turned into a serviceable back of the rotation guy, but I personally am a big fan of Wells and hope he is a Cardinal for a long time.

    Wright? Wright isn't very good defensively. But he can hit, and he plays for the Mets, wouldnt surprise me if he gets alot of votes Oh yeah, I wouldn't be shocked to see him get it, I think Ramirez's old reputation will pretty much prevent him from winning it until he's once again unworthy, I mean by actual defensive skills that Ramirez is probably only behind Rolen and Zimmerman. Feliz is really good, too.

    isn't monroe supposed to be able to play all 3 OF spots? why not try him in center?

    Santana was being primed to be a starter, receiving spot starts and mop up duty. He had 30 appearances in his rookie year, 7 were of one inning or less. In 01, it was 5/15, in 02 it was 4/27, in 03 it was 7/45 and he was a full-time starter in the second half of the year. for comparison, marmol has 24 appearances of 1 inning or less. He has 1 outing that saw him throw more than 2 innings. Escobar was jerked around and has been injury prone his entire career. i would love for marmol to be an effective starter, but i just can't see it happening.

    it's not considered a good thing, but it adds diversity to the fantasy game. getting a bunch of scorers is pretty easy. getting a bunch of scorers who play defense (+/-, though it's a faulty stat) and have some "grit" (PIM) is not so easy and adds a new aspect to the game. something like what steals do for fantasy baseball.

    i don't think cedeno will be recalled. i think you'll see EPatt instead and the backup SS would be Derosa in the event of a Theriot injury. I also don't think it will be Ohman, but cherry or rapada or something. i think Ohman is done as a Chicago Cub.

    haha damn stats i know, they always ruin a good, tear-filled game thread temper tantrum. Sorry for getting worked up during a Cubs game. It my come as surprise to you, but not everyone just sits there and lifelessly watches a game like you apparently do. I get happy as a kid on Christmas and incredibly pissed too while watching a game. so you get a free pass to post things that are completely wrong? and then get mad when people correct you? Oh I wasn't referring to the comment about Hill. He's not the Cubs best pitcher. I was just referring to the passionate comments I made. But the stats show hes our best pitcher, and 3 runs thru 6 is starting to look like a good start, so when can we officially start blaming the offense? when marquis starts.
